@MissLondonLix Not that I'm unfamiliar with Miss Lix lore (though have never heard this story in quite such detail) but Livejournal is a beautiful chronological place-setting. I do remember finding your intelligence daunting at one point - now I'm simply in awe in a positive way.

I did a joint honors, so I had to write two theses. I burned myself out so hard on the first one - it was brilliant, and got published in an international journal - that I literally hadn't started the second one until the day before it was due. I wrote the entire thing in a frenzy of Red Bull, entire pots of coffee, and Lucozade, in 12 hours. That one also somehow got published in an international journal 😅

Refloored the living room last weekend! Went with a maple LVP to match the maple hardwood throughout the rest of the home. Finished with a walnut quarter round trim. Challenges included hand removing 500 underlayment staples, rotten carpet tack boards, and leveling an uneven floor. Couldn’t easily & quickly use SLC on the OSB subfloor so I had to mix & hand spackle 49lbs of patch cement across 132sq ft & eyeball it level to within 3mm across the floor. Exhausting project but it’s done and looks beautiful 🤩

@the_empire_edit Having attended a number of these, your strategy obviously works in spades; they're not just watchable, they're re-watchable, and that's very rare with livestreams.

A lot of creators livestream for an hour and leave with… barely anything. This doesn't happen because you're boring; you're just probably relying on generosity and luck rather than monetization mechanics and strategy. I turned my entire Livestream playbook into a guide. @MinaThorne 👏🏼👏🏼 Something I'm always keen to impress is that we're buying Your creativity - we're buying Your time, thought, energy and effort - You put a lot into things ¹; that only makes sense if it's something You're engaged with. ¹And I'm sure that whatever I think, it's more.

These boundaries can also change over time. They might outgrow a niche, decide they aren’t comfortable with it anymore or don’t enjoy it, or it just may not be profitable enough. If a creator decides to stop creating certain types of content that’s their decision to make alone.

Just because one creator is willing to risk their account & make content that violates TOS doesn't mean everyone else is willing to. I choose not to put my income sources at risk. There is content I loved making in the past that I can't anymore due to changes in TOS from visa/mc.

@MinaThorne I find it baffling, though admittedly unsurprising, that somebody would want to put pressure on you (or anyone) to create content that you don't want to create for *whatever* reason.

Using the argument "but so & so creates this content still & hasn't had an issue" is ridiculous Everyone needs to make that choice for themself. Repeatedly asking creators to blatantly violate TOS for ur own needs after they've already said no shows a lack of respect on your part
