Diesel costs are up. Margins are tight. Every machine hour matters. That's why VR-based operator training is becoming such a practical tool. By moving early-stage training into a realistic virtual environment, operators develop skills and efficient habits before burning fuel.

Diesel costs are up. Margins are tight. Some contractors are cutting fuel use before the job even starts - by rethinking how they train operators. Read how VR training is changing the equation. 👇 bit.ly/4vK7E4L Featuring: Greg Meyers, CEO and Co-Founder of @ForgeFX

@Bishwajeetkjha @Microsoft Exactly right. A digital twin does not fail when the model is imperfect; it fails when the operation knows the state is out of date. Once users see that the twin is lagging reality, trust collapses, and after that, even the best analytics or optimization engine becomes irrelevant

digital twin sync latency is the failure mode that kills trust faster than any modeling error. when the twin's inventory state is 2 hours stale, the planner stops believing it. and once they stop believing it, they stop using it — regardless of how good the optimization layer is. the fix isn't faster sync everywhere. it's tiered refresh rates: near-real-time for high-velocity decisions (reorder triggers, exception flags), hourly for positioning decisions, daily for strategic what-if. most implementations run the same refresh cadence on everything and end up optimizing the latency cost rather than the decision value.

@Bishwajeetkjha @Microsoft Supply chain digital twins rarely break at the modeling layer. They break at the data layer. When sync latency stretches past sub-hour, you’re no longer simulating the live operation, you’re simulating yesterday while today’s disruption is already costing money.

@ForgeFX @Microsoft digital twins for supply chain fail on the data layer, not the model. if the real-time sync isn't sub-hour, you're simulating yesterday's constraint set while today's disruption already hit
