After watching the first ten minutes of The Odyssey I can say with one hundred percent conviction that even if you fixed the casting the movie would still be a steaming pile of shit.

Please keep in mind ticket prices are higher today, and IMAX ticket prices are even higher yet. Numbers being shared are not factoring inflation, nor premium screenings, it's literally B$.
So although they're pounding the woke victory war drum... fewer people are seeing this pile of dung than they are leading on... and they're in full panic mode. Which is why you're seeing social media explode with millions of their marketing dollars going to damage control.
Additionally, numbers I'm seeing exceed over $500-million in costs... so they've got a lot of red to climb through yet. And many people are now on to the bogus reviews, and millions of BOT's out there touting this as a film worth seeing, not burning as is reality. So it's going to be interesting to see if they can keep this shell game going long enough to find black ink. They likely will, but not as they would have had they not poured woke trash all over this crap film.
We do also have the fact that anti-woke people don't want to set fire to the world. In fact, they want the world to succeed. So many-many people are seeing this under the pretense of... let's just give this a chance... regardless of the woke Nolan $#!+. Most are regretting this decision, bad.

Production budget was $250 million
Marketing was another ~$125 million
So total cost is around $375 million and it still needs a lot more to actually turn a profit.
Every single one of those tickets came from people who paid money to watch one of Greece’s greatest stories get completely butchered.
And if you’re Greek and you watched this film, you’re not just a customer, you’re a traitor.
You have no real values.
No dignity.
And you spat on your own history and culture for a couple hours of Nolan’s ego trip.
We see every last one of you.

@sofiartworks 🦄Yes, Odysseus and Penelope are surprisingly self aware placing themselves in the Late Bronze Age while in real life they were living in the Age of Heroes. So really, his knowing that his odyssey was beginning, seems to jive perfectly for these characters so full of foresight.

It suffers from 90's makeup snafu's and special effects limitations... but the casting and attempt to give us Homer's vision... low budget and there are struggles... but it's a fair attempt for the time and worth watching 🍿
