FBISD middle school students showcased their innovative business ideas during the Junior Achievement Company Program Pop-Up Showcase, hosted by the district’s Career and Technical Education Department. Fort Bend ISD students are headed to the Texas History Day State Competition after earning first- and second-place honors at the Fort Bend Regional History Day Competition. The state competition will take place on April 11 at the University of Texas in Austin, where students will compete with top qualifiers from across Texas. See the list of winners at bit.ly/3P4Dokg.

Members of Fort Bend ISD's Student Advisory Network recently presented ideas to administrative leaders on ways to enhance the student experience across the district. Their recommendations included strategies to help students better navigate the transition from middle school to high school, as well as ideas for increasing awareness of the district’s mental health resources and other supports available to students. FBISD’s Student Voices program brings together students from all 12 high schools for monthly leadership meetings. Through this initiative, students build leadership skills, engage in service and advocacy, and provide valuable feedback to district leaders on policies, programs, and the overall student experience.

Fort Bend ISD’s Adaptive P.E. team hosted the FLaSH Fitness Winter Olympics, a two-day event designed for elementary FLaSH (Functional Living and School Health) students at Colony Bend Elementary. Students enjoyed an Opening Ceremony Parade, adapted Winter Olympic activities, and a special medal ceremony to celebrate their achievements. Thanks to grants from the Fort Bend Education Foundation, the team created accessible and engaging activities using adaptive sports equipment, sensory items made with 3D printers, and creative modifications to ensure every student could participate. With cheers from spectators and smiles all around, FBISD’s FLaSH students proved they are all champions! @CHS_Rangers Navy JROTC program is celebrating an incredible run of success across multiple competitions. The CyberPatriot Team (Gold Division) earned First Place at the Air & Space Forces Association’s national cybersecurity competition. Cadets also placed Second Overall at the Navy JROTC Area Drill Championship. The Joint Leadership Academic Bowl (JLAB) Team advanced to the 2026 U.S. Navy JROTC Academic Bowl Championship in Washington, D.C., placing them among the top eight teams in the nation for the fourth consecutive year. Congratulations to these outstanding cadets for representing Clements High School and Fort Bend ISD with excellence!

Bleil Heritage Award by the Fort Bend County Historical Commission. @RidgePoint_Panthers junior Krathu Sankaranarayanan received the highly competitive Bertie Green Junior Travel Scholarship! Krathu serves as an officer in the Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica — a national and international academic honor society for high school students enrolled in Spanish and/or Portuguese. He was selected from a nationwide pool of applicants after being nominated by his school chapter, Parra y Sosa, representing not only Ridge Point but the entire FBISD community. In the past five years, only two students from the Houston area have earned this opportunity! This summer, he will travel to Ecuador on an all-expenses-paid journey to join other student leaders for volunteer service, cultural immersion and advanced Spanish language study.
