This was striking to me when I started Genshin. I did NOT expect what I imagined to be a cheap BoTW-like to flesh out its world so admirably. The design, the lore, the music... They all play their part, allowing Genshin to truly achieve what Tolkien calls "secondary belief".

@gaentleman @ScaryBerry87 1) There was a famine it just wasn't a genocide. 2) The famine also hit pretty hard the southern parts of russia, but russia is far bigger and more populated than ukraine so the famine didn't affect it as much.

@ScaryBerry87 My favourite argument: if there was no Holodomor, where did at least 3 million ukrainians go from 1926 to 1939? Btw the 1939 census was suspected of inflating the numbers, so the amount of deaths was even higher.

This is extremely similar to things Nazi say to minimize, defend, or pretend the holocaust didn’t happen.
