This is so uncanny. Hermione is meant to be an English child. HBO seems eager to have the blonde blue eyed children call her mudblood when mudblood referred to her being a half wizard parent and not her race. How could JK Rowling let this happen man.

Let's be clear. There's a lot of issues with this HBO Harry Potter series. Extra unnecessary added details, pointless raceswaps of minor characters that I, like many other Potterheads, could have overlooked. But Black Snape is such an insulting slap in the face it's a 100% deal breaker.

This is the worst casting choice in a long time, and he has dreadlocks for fuk sake!
While Alan Rickman's Snape looks the part and he has that brooding intensity aura, Paapa Essiedu's Snape looks like a nobody extra, a random NPC thug that's about to rob someone.
The book describes him as having sallow skin, a hooked nose, and lank, shoulder-length black hair. At least lose the dreadlocks!
The most cruel joke is that the producers of the newest adaptation bill themselves as closer to the books than the movies... but I have serious doubts when the casting choice looks like this!
