We are saddened to inform friends that our dear brother, Voddie Baucham, Jr., has left the land of the dying and entered the land of the living. Earlier today, after suffering an emergency medical incident, he entered into his rest and the immediate presence of the Savior whom he loved, trusted, and served since he was converted as a college student. Please pray for Bridget, their children, and grandchildren. Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. – Psalm 116:15 founders.org/articles/the-d…

In recent decades the evangelical world has been taught to ask one singular question, “Is this a gospel issue?” Through books and podcasts, even the creation of entire ministries, we have been discipled to look at everything through that singular lens. But is everything a gospel issue? While well intentioned, the gospel-centered movement has hindered Christians in rightly understanding and responding to a number of issues in our day. That’s because not everything is a gospel issue. Some issues must be addressed in light of God’s law. The same good God who gave us the gospel, also gave us the law, and He loves His Law as much as He loves His gospel. In fact, neither can be fully understood or appreciated without seeing the relationship between them. Recovering the doctrine of Law and Gospel is essential to living well in the world that God has made. Join us for the National Founders Conference, January 21–23, 2027, as we look to the Scriptures to study not only the great gift of the gospel to us but the usefulness and goodness of God’s law that caused the psalmist to say, “Oh how I love your law!” ➡️ REGISTER NOW: founders.org/conference/ @tomascol @joelbeeke @conradmbewe @davemitz @gundengraham

Please pray for our students at @FoundersSem. We have a lot of godly men who are seeking to serve the Lord, and they need prayer as they grow and mature into faithful ministers of the gospel.

Founders Seminary is committed to the highest standards of theological education. Each of our courses are designed provide rigorous training in every topic - including solid book lists to equip our students well in their studies. This Spring, the students will be studying Ecclesiology with Dr. Tom Ascol. The primary contribution Baptists have made to the theological development of historic, orthodox, reformed, confessional doctrine is in the realm of ecclesiology. Followers of the “congregational way,” Baptists have worked to develop a theologically integrated ecclesiology. This course explore the contours of that development by introducing the nature and work of the church. Biblical foundations, theological concerns, historical development, and practical responsibilities with particular emphasis on the role of local churches in the post-modern world will be considered.
