In the future, there will be three major powers in the world: China, USA, EU. Neutral countries will move as much as possible towards the EU as their preferred partner because both China and the USA treat other countries disrespectfully and try to extort them. Europe will be the only great power and market to turn to if you want to have an equal and fair relationship. Canada is already moving towards Europe for this exact reason. India and Japan will also form a closer relationship with Europe. This is what soft power means. MAGA replies in the comment section will prove the point.

If Trump (illegally) takes the U.S. out of NATO, NATO should offer full membership to Ukraine five minutes later. I mean, Ukraine is, in every practical sense, the bulwark of Europe against the war criminals and barbarians in the Kremlin.

I hope Americans understand that Trump pulling out of NATO is the start of the Chinese world order. Europe will run to China real quick and start having heavy trade/diplo relations. There is no doubt in my mind. What does US have then? Cuba and Venezuela? Oh... and Israel.

@JimmyThomist I was Army. But even I know naval power is never irrelevant. Protecting supplies is very relevant. Protecting ports. Protecting coastal cities. The UK would be the most impacted but Spain and France as well.

@Fox13Rob22998 It’s using a lowballed number for Europe’s reserves because they use the term to include up to lists of former soldiers. The navy is nearly irrelevant for the question of resisting a Russian invasion (which is what the tweet is about).

NATO’s European armies are more than twice the size of the US Army & Marines. Europe has about 1.5x the artillery, AFVs and Tanks, and out produces the US in artillery shells. Europe outnumbers Russia in every ground power category by about 2x. Europe will be fine.
