KS2 were in for a treat this morning! Year 4 have shared their Spring learning in assembly this morning. They spoke about the importance of valuing differences and accepting everyone. Thank you year 4

Today we used our #KimmyCantrell sketches to make our sculptures out of cardboard. We then cut each individual facial feature which will all be painted and stuck in layers to give the 3D effect @foxfield

Today we joined with our reading buddy class @pinetreeyear1 to read and discuss the amazing books we’ve studied. We’ve used our guided reading focus of #inference to discuss the meaning of parts of the text by ‘reading between the lines’. @foxfield

We are so incredibly proud of our final outcomes for this half term, a collaborative effort from all year 4 classes. We cant wait for people to check out our letters of advice and graffiti inspired art! @foxfield @FoxfieldPalm @Acer_foxfield

Today we learnt about #coding in #ict by writing algorithms for our friends to follow in order to get from one part of our created grid to the other. @foxfield

Thank you @PlumsteadManor and your school councillors for hosting a very informative internet safety day for our Y4 children. We had a fantastic time! @foxfield

We have been looking at area this half term in maths and we are excited to share our final outcome of our dream house floor plans! @foxfield

Today we, along with @Cypresstree_y4 visited @PlumsteadManor to attend their workshops linked to #internetsafety. We learnt a lot about how to be safe online such as setting passwords, not talking to strangers online and ensuring a trusted adult is aware of our internet usage.

@NavSanghara @foxfield We decided on both of the tiles in the last picture, the large green tiles for the floor and the smaller patterned tiles for the walls. We were honoured to be asked to help and look forward to seeing the finished product!

@FoxfieldPalm @foxfield I love this learning with a purpose. So.... what was the verdict? Which one have you advised Ms Bansil to go with?

Today we used our knowledge of #area to help Ms Bansil with choosing the best tiles for her bathroom by calculating the area of the room, finding the cost of the tile per m2 then calculating the total cost needed to spend. @foxfield

Today we used the skills we’ve learnt in basketball and applied it to a game scenario while some of us also developed our shooting techniques @foxfield @PeFoxfield

Our display showcasing this half term’s amazing work around #inspirations is complete! With our core text of Christopher’s Story, we focused on how people are inspirational and explored how we can be too. @foxfield

Tonight @foxfield staff ran 7km in preparation for hopefully attending @OfficialBigHalf in March. “Alone we are strong, but together we are stronger.”
