Foxfield - Year 3

From building bridges in DT, to exploring the Thames Barrier, and showcasing their geography learning with double page spreads! Year 3 have had a fantastic week full of creativity and discovery! 🌍🌉 @foxfield

Year 3 had an exciting trip to Thames Barrier Park today! A fantastic hands-on way to consolidate their learning about the many uses of the River Thames - from flood prevention to transport and recreation. #RiverThames #LearningOutsideTheClassroom

We had a great morning finishing our mass and capacity topic! From estimating the weight of plant pots to measuring juice in cups, we put our skills to the test with real classroom items. @foxfield

This term the Year 3 students created incredible artwork and news reports inspired by the hidden figures who changed history! 🌟✏️ Their creativity shone brightly as they uncovered untold stories and made their mark on the world! #HiddenFigures #YoungArtists

Our class assemblies today were a huge success! The children showcased all they've learnt this spring, sharing their global learning in such a creative way. We are so proud of all their hard work! 👏@foxfield

Cherry tree loved visiting the @WoolwichLibrary this morning! They enjoyed a fun story time and then got to choose their own books to dive into 📚✨ They cannot wait to start reading them! @foxfield

As part of Science week, Year 3 have been studying animals habitats and recreating mini habitats!

Cherry tree had an amazing trip to the @RaggedSchool Museum! They stepped back in time to experience a Victorian classroom, learning just like children did in the 19th century! @foxfield

In RHE we watched a @NSPCC video and created our own posters on “stand up speak out.” The Children also wanted to share a message. @foxfield

Happy World Children's Day! We have been continuing our learning about the rights of a child, outlaid by UNICEF. We created posters to promote these rights. @foxfield @UNICEF_uk

We had a great music assembly lead by Howard who showed us what is possible to do on the guitar 🎸 and ukulele 🎶 we look forward to him leading after school classes! @foxfield
