If you wanted to try out macOS under Linux's KVM, now it's simpler than ever: github.com/foxlet/macOS-S… doesn't even require a Mac!

@josethevrtech @SadlyItsBradley in the same way that no one calls installing a different distro on a Steam Deck "install a custom ROM", it doesn't really make sense here either... the architecture is arm64 but it barely behaves like a phone x3

@josethevrtech @SadlyItsBradley ye, I know what an immutable Linux distro is, but I feel using ROM there is a bit of a misnomer; with a distro there's the implication you *can* unlock and modify the filesystem at any point, rather than having to rewrite the entire image as a whole (a-la Android ROMs)

@josethevrtech @SadlyItsBradley you'd probably have difficulty finding any "custom Android ROMs" to run on this thing since Deckard is pretty much built for running mainline desktop Linux, not Android lol

Here's an early look at the upcoming non-Deck SteamOS desktop! (yes, it really looks like Plasma with the Vapor theme lol)

@carygolomb iirc the WIP design for Deckard has a fan defined in the device tree

I don't see this chip ramping up that high in power. It's a delicate balance to be sure and I would imagine the heatsink would be passive. Given those constraints, it seems like it would be SteamDeck like at low power. But with much better CPUs. Expect to stream to this thing

The new Qualcomm Adreno GPU delivers up to 25% improved performance and 25% better power efficiency. Even if this includes last gen, it's really tough to say what this means. How much power will be used by this system? 5w? 10w? It will be impressive for what it is but...
Brad Lynch@SadlyItsBradley

Deckard PoC-F used a Qualcomm SM8650 SoC for development. Also known as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 which has a GPU one generation newer than GPU In the XR2 Gen 2 It used 2.8” lpm026m648c LCD panels from JDI. 2160x2160 @ 120hz It also had two eye tracking cameras, and 4 SLAM cameras

@SadlyItsBradley Do you still have the sm8650-pocf.dtb file / did you clone that branch before it was taken offline? The .dtb is the binary device tree and can easily be converted back to a .dtc file, it could tell us a lot more about the hardware used!

Even though I only shared EV2, it’s important to note the model ”PoC-F” on the bottom of this image for my next tweet PoC stands for Proof of Concept. And were different variations of the Deckard project worked on internally at Valve

@carygolomb Fremont is being developed on AMD's Lilac platform, not Chachani (which is what Aerith+ is still using)

Rendering out a video on trying to make sense of the Steam Deck Pro leak I kind of think it's actually Fremont. Stay at 7nm (cheaper?), improved memory controller for 8533MT RAM. 24/32GB of RAM Push CPU to 4.2Ghz (24w) Push GPU to 2.4Ghz (23w) ~55w Can this be $200? $250?

@HiTechLoLife1 It's still kinda in the air just because Lilac can ship with a number of different FP7 CPUs 🤔

@FoxletFox @iseenudepeople This is why the userstyle is setup like this instead of with the randomized class names, it has to be applicable to any CSS classes with this specific structure without using the class names themselves.

HUH?? NO I DID NOT FLAG THIS POST AS SHOWING SENSITIVE CONTENT This is only happening on PC right now but I did not think the gallery thumbnail change was a sign of worse things to come. Every single one of my posts looks like this now. Please tell me we're not stuck like this 😭

Boooo!! This is the worst update. Yes, all of my posts are marked as sensitive, but none of it is hidden behind a spoiler. Why shouldn't I be able to see images from a gallery view if my settings allow me to view sensitive media? Hopefully they change this soon. 😩

@FoxletFox @iseenudepeople The way twitter is set up, this only works on the post you got the rule from. Icy's post above for example doesn't unblur using this in my Ublock custom rules. The reason is each post gets its own randomized CSS classes to differentiate them apart from one another.

@iseenudepeople Here's a solution I actually fixed up today to work with the main feed + media tab (which was the original purpose) that just requires you to have an extension like Stylus that lets you change website styling: twitter.com/furfNSFW/statu…
furf@furfNSFW

Alright at the request of a few people saying the blur is starting to affect the feed, I've updated the userstyle to automatically unblur the feed as well 👍 You can manually update, or let Stylus auto-update the style within a day.
