Artist Tommy Canning will join us for a special evening reflecting on the life of St Joseph through sacred art on Monday, 23rd March. The evening will begin with Holy Mass at 7:00pm, followed by a presentation in the parish hall where Tommy will share some of his artwork and speak about the inspiration behind the paintings. The presentation brings scenes such as the Annunciation, the Birth of Jesus and the Death of St Joseph to life using modern visual technology. Our S1 Lourdes group spent today at Carfin Grotto on retreat, learning about the life of St Bernadette and the apparitions that took place in Lourdes. The young people spent time at the grotto discovering the stories of different saints and taking some quiet moments together in prayer. With the sun shining, it was a beautiful day for their retreat as they prepare for their pilgrimage. The group will travel to Lourdes at the end of April and are currently fundraising to help make the pilgrimage possible. Mass for the Sick with Holy Anointing Saturday 21 March at 11.00am “If only I can touch the hem of his garment, I shall be healed.” This special Mass is offered for anyone who is sick, elderly or in need of prayer and strength. Lent is a time to begin again. Join us for Early Morning Mass this week at 7.00am, Monday to Friday. A peaceful way to start your day with the Lord.

What a lovely morning we shared at Holy Mass and our Ignite Club Family Day. It was a real joy to see so many families gathered together, accompanying their children as they continue their journey towards receiving the sacraments. Preparing for the sacraments is never something our young people do alone, it is something we do together, as families and as a parish. The prayer jars they made are such a simple but meaningful reminder to pause each day, to speak to the Lord, and to place their intentions in His hands. We hope they will be used at home, perhaps around the table or before bedtime, as a small, faithful step on this journey you are making together. Please continue to keep our young people in your prayers in the weeks ahead. May this time of preparation draw every family closer to Christ. 🙏
