What they mean is they have no understanding of what the universal Church in the world looks like. For them the Catholic Church is either the church in the United States, or the first world, church, or the American influence church. This is a crisis that has been created in the minds and the hearts of selfish complaining Catholics.

Yes. This strong anti-JPII attitude stems from Lefebvre himself, who produced a cartoon showing JPII being denied entry to Heaven and waved into Hell by Satan.
But the SSPX are caught in a bind. They believe canonizations are infallible declarations of the Church. Yet they reject JPII's canonization - only further confirming that their theology is based not so much on principle but on whatever suits them and their narrative.

Based on the ignorant comments in this thread concerning JPII, the comment in the thread that says there “must be more to this than the JPII angle” is looking less cogent. I was inclined to agree with it until the other comments reminded me that there is indeed a strong anti JPII element in the Trad movement

Let’s face it. They are all holier than he was, all lived more virtuous lives enduring many more trials and tribulations fighting greater evils than communism and nazism, have done more worldwide evangelization and written far more theological astute dissertations. One can’t really blame them for their haughtiness.

He just made a bishop out of someone who wants to ordain women and bless gay “marriage”, right after he excommunicated bishops who actually believe in and live according to the Gospel and Sacred Tradition - after refusing to meet with them personally for a conversation.

We have Churches in Cameroon, South Africa, and many other countries. I have NEVER been to a Mass like this. I have been to a few Protestant Churches that were like this, but not Catholic.
This new Synodal Church is probably the beginning of the end.

@CatholicABear No one close to him is saying he didn’t do it including his parents. They didn’t even get him a lawyer. The judge appointed high power attorneys. That is how strong the case is. It will play out as I have said.

I mean there’s no witness saying he did, and there’s no video of him doing it, and the prosecution can’t even say for sure it was his gun that fired the bullet that killed Charlie, so all the evidence that is left is circumstantial.
