Discord is revolutionizing music releases for all artists... introducing virtual listening parties 👇 Whilst a live release party is an surreal experience, you often don't live in the correct city or have to pay for entry 😕 ‼️ Discord-based listening parties allow diehard fans to experience a live release party from the comfort of their home, while connecting with friends and other fans. 👉 There is no better feeling for a fan than experiencing a new release for their favorite artist with others, and doing this for large releases from artists like Skrillex and Kevin Gates brings can bring thousands together. Whether they are sharing the hype around on social media or sending an infinite amount of 🌶️ emojis in the chat.. the point is that they are loving the moment and thousands will continue to spread that love, all in the time span of a 3 minute track.

With such high levels of competition in the music industry, smaller artists struggle to reach out to potential listeners... 🧵 ❓ Introducing the official @Skrillex Discord server, where we found a way to develop a producers' talents AND expand an artists audience, absolutely FREE of cost, involving three key targets: Choosing the right genre for the right audience Dubstep has maintained its popularity for a long time and with Skrillex's domination in this particular area, producers alike are desperate to make the next track that explodes within the industry. By catering towards our audience, whether they be spectating or producing, we managed to provide a golden opportunity to get involved. Bringing together a community of endless talent Utilising Discord's unique voice chat and screen sharing features allowed for members to gain seamless access to the event. The clock was ticking and the producers were frantically adding high hats and 808s. With over 30 producers contributing and a whole lot more watching the crazy production time crunch, it is was a super memorable experience that brought extra eyes to everyone involved. Providing the opportunity to be seen As members finished up the final bits of tuning, we implemented an easy to use voting system. Through this, not only did we manage to help upcoming artists get their work out there by posting the final results, but we expanded the audience to those outside of the active viewers. When tackling community activations, being able to reach as many people as possible is key. On top of getting smaller artists out there, this was a huge win for the artists hosting. It allows for the artist to find up-and-coming producers, brings the users closer together, and makes Skrillex and his @Discord synonymous with the EDM fanbase. That's the power of community, that's the power of strategy at @Fragm3ntStudios

Get to cooking with members over at the official @Discord server 🍰 Although a Skrillex creme brulee is cool on its own, events like this utilize elements marketers drool over: Digital activations being brought into the real world User sentiment is everything; being able to take users away from their screen to make funny content that ties a digital community to their real life passions builds another level of emotional connection. Community led and minimal cost Community sentiment is the most powerful thing ever. As someone (probably) once said "Community over everything". Events like these are destined to succeed as you can work with the users to see what events they want to see. For this event we gave away a couple leftover t-shirts from a past concert and people still had a blast getting involved. In short: Fun events -> Community getting closer -> more emotional connection -> more artist awareness and more devoted fans. It's fun. Apart from all the marketing mumbo jumbo mentioned above, events like this are just pure fun. Whether you participate or spectate, it brings fans together and everyone enjoys themselves.
