Not being classist or anything But just take a look at the caliber of people actively involved in politics in Nigeria , they are the local people , mostly uneducated, all of them card carrying members with their Voters card. While most of the so called educated and intellectuals in Nigeria are on X and other social media platforms, writing threads and lamenting about Bad governance via tweets and not participating in any form or way in local politics. All these uneducated folks know who their state House of Representatives are, they know who is representing them at the National level both at upper and lower house, many people on X don’t have an idea who their own representatives are. There can be no change untill people realize and understand that the post of the Citizen is the most important one Ina democracy, you have a civic duty as citizens. There has to be much more awareness on citizenship education.

@adedayoagarau The truth is that one is really going to vote for APC, that's why they are perfecting their rigging machinery, ways to counter this rigging is what Nigerians should be looking into.

Tinubu’s supporters who came for the APC National Convention scampering for safety and struggling to breathe after security officials tear-gassed them at the convention venue! Zombies have more dignity than these lot!✍️

Keep your distance from anyone who thinks Bola Ahmed Tinubu is actually reforming this country. They’re completely out of touch with reality—most of them are dunces and beyond redemption.

When I went to China, I woke up every morning, strolled to wherever I wanted, met people, explored places, but one thing I never did was to pray to God for safe travels between cities. I never had to tell God to hide me from the Evil Eyes of kidnappers. Neither did I beg Him to shield me from accidents. Because the Government had made it possible! All the basic amenities were provided by the government. When I got back to Nigeria, at the Airport, someone was already praying for a safe journey to Ilorin.

Without mincing words, Nigerians run Nigeria more than the government does. Nigeria survives largely because of the resilience of her citizens, not the government or their systems. Because government systems don't work well, people create parallel systems: generators, private schools, private hospitals, tech startups, private transport, FINTECH, etc. Citizens pay for services twice: they pay taxes to the government and still pay for private services that the government is supposed to provide. Tell me which government would sit up when the citizens are doing their jobs for them?

@EmekaAmakeze While they're rehabilitating "repentant terrorists" and enrolling them in the military, soon we won't have real soldiers in the military.

Terrorists move in convoys. Hundreds of them. Motorcycles. Trucks. Columns of men carrying heavy weapons. Villagers see them. Soldiers report them. Sometimes they even announce themselves before attacking. Yet somehow, they still arrive at military bases untouched. Nigeria has an Air Force. Jets. Attack aircraft. Surveillance capability. But when terrorists gather in the open deserts and forests of Borno State and the Lake Chad Basin, the skies are often silent. No reconnaissance. No strafing runs. No bombs falling on advancing columns. Instead, the terrorists arrive. They overrun bases. Young Nigerian soldiers; poorly supplied and outnumbered, fight until ammunition runs dry. Some die. Some run. Some are captured. And by the time help comes, the attackers are already gone. Weapons stolen. Armoured vehicles taken. Another base erased from the map. The question that should haunt every Nigerian is simple. How do hundreds of terrorists move freely across known territories, in the age of satellites, drones, and attack aircraft? War is supposed to be brutal. But what makes this one unbearable is the quiet suspicion that many of these deaths were preventable. Young men sent to fight. But not properly supported. And somewhere in Nigeria tonight, another soldier is staring into the dark, wondering if help will come when the shooting starts.

Somebody tweeted, “soon Nigerians will be pushed to the wall and a revolution will occur”. So you mean Nigerians are not on the wall yet with all these? 😮 what level does it get to for us to be on the wall? Or we are just used to moving on from anything including the wall
