I just confirmed that @MTNNG steals data from their users‼️‼️💔 I’ve been having suspicions that MTN have been stealing data because of the rate at which my data finishes so fast even if I don’t download anything So yesterday by 3:52 PM I bought 11GB data for 3500 naira I put my phone on power saving mode so no app in the background will be able to use data I didn’t download or upload any videos and I’ve been using my phone lightly. I felt like all this wasn’t enough so i decided to download an app that tracks my data usage This afternoon MTN sent me a message that I have just 4GB of data left Checked the app and saw I used only 3GB from the 11GB I bought yesterday Now my question to MTN is this If I used 3GB from 11GB that means I should have 8GB left Why do I have just 4GB left? Where did my remaining 4GB go??? All evidence attached in the screenshots below👇👇👇 We need to call out MTN for these recent thefts as I’m sure I’m not the only one facing this problem

Hi @MTNNG @MTN180 I knew you were stealing back the same Internet data i buy from you. So I decided to do a small experiment this afternoon. At 2:02pm I bought 5.5gb data via Opay. At 3:00pm same data is gone. I didn’t stream a movie. Just X. I hope Elon Musk Starlink mobile comes soon enough to take away your existing customer base. Thieves.

Nobody’s really calling out how MTN might be ripping people off… I’ve noticed my data finishes way too fast even when I barely use it. So I bought 10GB, turned off my mobile data immediately, and switched to WiFi. Just 2 hours later, I checked my balance and somehow I was left with 6GB… how does that even make sense? Everyone don see Nigerians finish because we always take everything and adapt 🤦‍♂️

Apart from @MTNNG, @Airtel, and @GloWorld, these terrible Nigerian telecoms companies, I also pay about £72 monthly for @elonmusk’s @Starlink, even @Starlink only the service still works only sporadically. Nigerians are being forced to pay premium prices for substandard, unreliable digital access in a country where communication is now essential for survival, business, and civic participation. Many Nigerians report that despite buying data bundles, they are unable to enjoy them fully because of slow or non-functional internet connections. This results in wasted resources and deepens the public’s dissatisfaction. This is not only affecting personal communication but also impeding business activities, education, access to government services, and the ability of young Nigerians to innovate and compete in the digital economy. Your Excellency, we respectfully urge your administration to look into this matter urgently. We ask that regulatory bodies such as the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) be strengthened and encouraged to hold service providers accountable, promote transparency in pricing, and ensure Nigerians receive the quality of service they are paying for. @osazenoo Osas The system is the superset of a structure and defines how the structure is run and checked. If a system that is headed by the president cannot fact-check his activities and call every structure to order that system is a failed state and cannot be viewed otherwise

One major problem in Nigeria is how easily we default to blaming the President for everything. Primary healthcare fails - President. Out-of-school children rise - President. No pipe-borne water - President. Bad state roads - President. Lack of basic amenities - President. Communal clashes - President. As long as we keep shielding governors and local government chairmen from accountability, they’ll remain irresponsible and the cycle will continue.
