NEWS: Stetson transfer Ethan Copeland has announced he’s committed to Virginia Tech. The 6-foot-2 guard out of Sunnyside, Washington averaged 15.0PPG, 3.7RPG, 2.1APG and 1.5SPG this season while shooting 43% from 3.

Zags were probably going to add one more backcourt piece before this news, so I'd guess they'll bring in at least two more guards now.
Also opens up a big opportunity for Houston transfer Isiah Harwell, who immediately becomes a starting candidate next season.

Jack Kayil is electing to stay in the NBA Draft and won’t spend the 2026-27 season at Gonzaga. Huge hit to the Zags’ backcourt. Kayil was a projected starter and thought to be one of the top international prospects coming to college.

Ismaila Diagne tells me that Massamba Diop has chosen GONZAGA over St. John’s. Announcement will be tomorrow. Diagne played a huge role in the visit and recruitment despite transferring to San Francisco a few days later.

Barring something unforeseen, #Gonzaga will retain its three most important players from a year ago (w/ eligibility remaining) after the transfer portal closed: Braden Huff (17.8 ppg, 66.2% FG), Mario Saint-Supery (8.6 ppg, 3.8 apg), Davis Fogle (10.2 ppg in final 16 games).
Zags will build around a strong young core loaded with potential. Parker Jefferson, who redshirted in 2025-25, is GU’s fourth returner.
