it sounds like nice, good lefty catechism but if one is going to say "they rarely handle it bravely" then presumably he is thinking of a significant number of formerly powerful men who faced death and nearly all of them did not handle it well. so what are the examples?

Where there is darkness, look for light. When no cafes in Vienna wanted to host the Israeli Eurovision fans, one non-Jewish couple stepped up, @kann_news reports. The last straw for the owners of Kantine was when some suggested the Israelis just go to the cafe at the Jewish museum. They decided to donate the use of their cafe to host the Israelis, and are doing so proudly. When people accuse them of bringing "danger" to the area, their response was: "the danger will never come from us". They are also recieving a lot of love and support, from Jews and non Jews alike.
