Sorry this is a DISGRACE Playing a play off final 3 weeks late because the hosts couldn’t do what’s required, the playoff dates were already pushed a week to accommodate Players get certain time between end of season til pre season to go on holiday, have family time and most because the season is expected to actually end first bank holiday in May will have things booked up End of the day, if Guernsey didn’t have the 25 flights held for the final then they should be expected to play at the reverse stadium on the date of the game being scheduled This isn’t a knock on the club, I believe Tony Vance is one of the best managers at this and the level and above, but anyone in this situation should be prepared or sadly lose the advantage, it’s the awkwardness of having the isle teams in these leagues sadly 🤷‍♂️

So, Nobody could understand why the playoff final was a Sunday now you do as its liberation day in Guernsey today (Saturday), our Ko time was moved to 1:30 pm to enable us getting home on the same day, agreement states 2pm kick off and Guernsey to cover hotel if you can’t get back same day, you can only travel as a group of 25 when it “suits” and now the playoff final is in two weeks time in Guernsey as they couldn’t get Peacheaven over together but offered to split the flights up, I’m sure players staff etc will have holidays booked I know for one if it was us I’d be in Greece, Either way we lost on the pitch fair and square but for me there’s a lot being done to facilitate GFC being in the @TheSCFL I like Tony and the lads so I’m not digging them out here at all but rules should be rules what’s peoples take on it ? 🎪@ibb10show @thesnlfdod

Our play-off fixture scheduled for this Sunday will no longer be going ahead as planned. Guernsey FC explored several options to fly our team out and back; however, these involved multiple flights and different airport locations making the arrangements unfeasible. The Southern Combination Football League (SCFL) has confirmed that the match will now be played on the mainland, either on Tuesday 12th or Wednesday 13th. The venue is yet to be confirmed. Guernsey now have 48 hours to either arrange suitable travel around these revised dates or exercise their right to appeal to The FA.

The facts must be stated, why weren’t the flights booked in advance when one of the directors is actually involved in the airline? Did they assume HHTFC would beat @PT_FC and took a risk? Can you really expect a team to fly different days at different times why should Peacehaven be of a disadvantage? What don’t help is they have their “independence day” and the Murretti cup the week after, for Peacehaven to be slandered on here ain’t fair. Blame the person in charge of logistics?

THE JIM EDWARDS STAND. Peacehaven & Telscombe FC Honour Former Chairman Jim Edwards with Stand Dedication. This morning,Peacehaven & Telscombe Football Club has paid a lasting tribute to one of its most dedicated and influential figures by naming a stand in honour of former chairman and club president, Jim Edwards. The Jim Edwards Stand—a permanent reminder of a man whose tireless efforts helped shape the identity and success of Peacehaven FC for over four decades. Jim Edwards, who sadly passed away in 2022, was more than just a club official. Known for his unwavering commitment, kind spirit, and hands-on leadership, he served as chairman during pivotal periods in the club’s history and was later named president in recognition of his lifelong dedication. “Jim was the heart and soul of this football club,” said current chairperson Sue Norwood “He gave everything to Peacehaven—his time, his energy, his vision—and helped build a community that extended far beyond the pitch. Naming the stand after him is our way of saying thank you, and ensuring that his legacy lives on in the place he loved most.” The newly named Jim Edwards Stand now bears signage in his honour, and will continue to serve as a gathering point for generations of Peacehaven supporters to come.

CLUB STATEMENT Rip Little Pete It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Peter Ricketts on Thursday, the 18th of July, 2025. Peter, a devoted family man, was a well-regarded figure in the local community, known for his enthusiasm for football and his long-standing, proud support of the Peacehaven Football Club. His passion for the sport and his unwavering dedication to his team were equaled only by his kindness, his sense of humor, and his generous nature. He will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Details regarding the funeral will be provided in due time. May he rest in peace.
