@ThatBoiRico It's always bewildered me. You're not in possession and, in this case, will never have possession. All you've done is impede someone else, so how can you win the foul?

@ninjapotato10 It's not been a debate. That would require you to discuss points I've actually made. Instead, you've just taken things out of context to daft assertions. So much for leaving it there an hour ago, eh? Hope you had a great time googling when Stuart Findlay last got a call up. 🫡

@FrazzaB I accept your admission that you have lost the debate. Good chat 👍

Also, why are folk living in some sort of altered reality where they think the manager has to see a player for 10 minutes in anon-competitive game to "have a look at him"? What do you think the training camps are for?

@FrazzaB Sorry, but thats a load of pish. Halkett has missed 2 of Hearts last 13 games - one a suspension. Hanley has played 1 in Hibs last 8 because he has been injured, but Hanley is in squad, Halkett isn't. Must just a shite trainer?? 😂

@ninjapotato10 Happy to debate stuff. But if you're just gonna make up things I haven't said, multiple times, there's nae point. I'm just glad we've got Clarke picking great squads and getting us to tournaments instead of just plopping in whoever is getting good ratings on Fotmob that month.

@ninjapotato10 He could be in contention for the Balon D'or and wouldn't get a call up. Halketts issue is less about how much he's been injured but when. I'd say that Findlay getting a single call up when Clarke was in the best position to evaluate him, is enough for me.

@ninjapotato10 McBurnie has 0 goals in 16 games for us, and pulled several sickies, burned his bridges long ago. Halkett is injury prone, main reason he has missed out. Unreliable. Findlay, I wonder if Clarke working for him for 2 years would have any bearing on his judgement on him... 👍

@ninjapotato10 Your point was about the youngsters (which somehow includes a 25 year old Andy Irving) not getting minutes. Their performances in training dictated that, obviously. Not sure how that relates to another 3, 30 year olds who've all been in the squad and not stuck...

@ninjapotato10 Lastly. Maybe if you actually read what I'd written, you wouldn't have brought up folks performances outside of training. McBurnie. 😂

@ninjapotato10 I think you just fail to grasp that International and Club football aren't the same thing. Clarke gets limited time with the players, so he's kept a tight knit core squad, making changes to it when deemed necessary. The 3 you named, had their chances in the past.

@ninjapotato10 There's plenty players who've been rewarded after being in several squads without any game time. Like the goalies. Club performance is meaningless. You're not playing with the same players or tactics. How would Clarke judge the training performances of folk not in the squad?

@FrazzaB Under Clarke would they aye..... where is *any* proof of that?? If he picked on performance rather than loyalty then why is Findlay, Halkett, McBurnie to name three not even in squad?? Some confidence booster being taken to a squad and not getting a minute of game time

@ninjapotato10 I guess we feel differently about what young and playing well week in/week out means. Confidence? The thing that comes from seeing your teammates play their roles and being rewarded as part of the squad. These guys would be playing if their performances in training merited it.

@FrazzaB What about confidence? Take a young player for one of the many rare meaningless friendlies these days and not give them any game time? What exactly has Clarke learned from past 2 games he didn't know before??

I can't believe that Lennon Miller didn't get any serious game time. It's absolutely shocking.* *Presumably Udinese fans over the last 6 weeks...

@tailso1988 It can only be underwhelming if you have some delusions about what to expect. Why do folk keep thinking that the team will suddenly perform in a totally different fashion after 70-odd games?

@ninjapotato10 @ScotlandNT Which young players are playing well for their clubs week in week out who didn't get onto the pitch tonight?

@ScotlandNT Can't wait to hear Sir Stevie tells us he "has learned so much" and identified "things we can do better". Unforgivable that in a friendly game pre World Cup he isn't giving game time to young players, playing well for their clubs week in week out. His stubbornness is unmatched
