Much needed but belated U-turn from Tories. They were happy to let kids starve over the last half term and it was only when they saw how determined the people of England were to not let that happen that they changed their minds. Never forget most Tory MPs voted against it.

Three years ago over 800,000 Rohingya Muslims fled their homes in Myanmar where govt security forces torched their villages and killed civilians. We must remember those who lost their lives and those who were affected, and ensure that such horrific actions can never happen again.

Really dissapointed for my brilliant and talented PHE colleagues who give me wise counsel on complex PH challenges. These are rare skills and realistically local authorities cant fill all the gaps. Everyone in PH is flat out ...the timing couldnt be worse...

@AndyBurnhamGM just to let you know, btec and other vocational quals not included in u turn. One grade drop at btec is equivalent to 2 a level grade drops in terms of ucas points. So many students still affected.

I noticed MPs have had 8 pay rises over the last decade. So I’d like to suggest, in the spirit of solidarity, when the next one is due, we give them a few claps, bang a few saucepans, charge them to park at work, and we call it quits.
