@themoviedadsc I tried to teach my daughter about money and it didn't sink in, until she burned through cash like Congress her first year of college. That summer she was ready to learn, so we taught her again and it stuck.

One of my "hotter" takes on this subject is every high school could implement this tomorrow, and it wouldn't make a big difference. 99% of 14-18 year olds don't care about money. They care about dating, friends, making varsity, and getting As & Bs so mom/dad don't yell at them.

I took my kid to an afterschool activity. It’s about a 10 minute drive. On my way I counted: 8 Range Rovers 7 Mercedes GL SUV 4 BMW X series SUV 4 Audi SUV 3 Tesla SUV 1 Aston Martin Car All immigrants. All brand new. I saw 2 white people my entire drive. F150 couple years old Toyota Tacoma probably 10 years old What the fuck is going on here?

My favorite thing is when a man says he “almost went pro.” The only thing that stopped them was a general lack of athleticism, work ethic, talent, some minor injuries, they were difficult to coach and kind of lazy. They had a good mind for the game though. SO close.
