How we spend that money will be crucial. Brad has made it clear he won't be funding the club. Sustainability

@mgingles79 He has no choice. Ffp prevents us from going out and buying a competitive squad. He has to retain some of these players on smaller contracts, rely on the loan and free transfer maket whilst purchasing a couple of decent additions

@GillsInTheBlood @FOM_BLOG The players, staff and owners should be under no illusions. Ainsworths post match interview indicates he thinks the fans are behind him. Some are, some aren't. In any other time frame bar the "2 year plan" he'd have been sacked. He will not turn us around in the summer.

An obvious shape & structure with players in the correct positions was a big plus, and we more than matched our promotion chasing opponents throughout. First half we forced their keeper into two top saves while looking solid defensively, and second period we had more ball but just couldn’t find a way past a resolute rearguard. Credit to our visitors though, they were superb at defending their box & more clinical than us when their chances came along. @marshalltay @BradGalinson It's such a difficult subject, revenue sounds fair but some clubs get far more revenue from off field activities such as Conferencing, Hospitality and Events. Other clubs don't have those income streams. Fairness has to be a cornerstone of any control measures.

@FredPerry1965 @BradGalinson Yes the union will never back it and 2-3 years will be spent/wasted in court back and forth. Hopefully the incoming football regulator can get control of this and players salary is linked to revenue with all of these loopholes removed.

Hey @BradGalinson I was part of a L1 ownership group (8 yrs in total) until last season so totally understand the issue. BUT the irony of you complaining is a bit rich! You came in only a few years ago and was one of the main drivers of wage inflation in L2 for the last 3 years spending heavily, for little reward. You (and others) are a big part of the problem please understand that.

@FredPerry1965 @BradGalinson Tbh Fred the year after Covid we were pushing for a Salary cap at Orient in L2/L1 and there were enough clubs backing the vote to get it through but the PFA blocked it I believe and was going to take legal action if I remember correctly.

@marshalltay @BradGalinson I think you're right about the PFA, I'd expect my Union to do that if my employer tried to implement something similar in my workplace. I understand the reasoning but it's unlikely to pass any kind of legal test.
