Alright, time for a nuclear take: I actually think that if you want to get someone new into the Kingdom Hearts series, telling them they *have* to play in release order has a good chance of turning them off from the series. My honest opinion? The average gamer should probably be given KH2 first. It’s the most iconic, most recognizable, and most beloved game in the series. It has all the iconography and characters people expect to see in Kingdom Hearts. They may not understand all of the story beats, but the general plot isn’t impossible to follow on its own. And I think that starting with a game with much more modern, fluid gameplay, compared to the clunky, dated experience that is KH1, gives them a far better chance at being more inclined to try the *other* games in the series after the fact. If they get through KH2 and want to get the context for all the things they didn’t understand, THEN they can play KH1 and Chain of Memories to fill in those gaps. But by starting with KH2, I think you stand the best chance of turning the average player into a KH fan in the long term than by forcing them to start with KH1 and then CoM.

of the belmonts i always found simon to be a really fascinating character in the grand scheme of things cuz hes not really all that relevant to the greater lore of the series or anything. he kinda just did his job and then lived his life. godspeed

Smash 3DS needs a bigger modding scene. It's been overshadowed by Wii U since its inception and even overshadowed by Ultimate, that majority of the modding devs jumped to that game instead of innovating Smash 4.

i think he's still mostly cat-like no matter which version of him you look at, but i just can't help but see a big golden retriever when i look at 2leon (and sometimes 6leon too) and that's why i've been pondering abt this for ages

for years now i've been trying to figure out if leon is more dog-like or cat-like and i've come to the conclusion that just like transing his gender he went from being puppy to a moody cat. i will not be elaborating

@Dravarden @thegrayfruit no it didn't inflammable meant "can be inflamed" and flammable was coined cause it's more clear to modern eyes, but they were always the same meaning

@thegrayfruit inflammable means flammable, when it used to mean 2 different things literally now means figuratively anything can mean anything and no one even cares about etymology

just learned about this regional difference in definitions for the word "nonplussed" and it kinda ruined my day. the way we use it in america is basically an antonym to how it's used anywhere else. why are we like this?
