I am the oldest of 5 kids (mom is a stone cold killer) My sister, who follows me in birth order and is 2 years younger, came to this world disabled: nonverbal and severely developmentally delayed on almost every cognitive dimension I “spoke for her” until she could talk on her own (around age 5) -still lives with my parents -can’t really take care of herself -has major health issues that are almost a full time job for my parents -gets in fights with my kids -borrows money from me with no intent to repay And yet imagine having the cast of characters from “love on the spectrum” in your life 24/7 someone who will go to any Padres game with you at the drop of a hat someone who is always available to get taco bell with you no matter what someone who never forgets your birthday and makes sure that you get cake (she wants some too) idk - feels like I’m on the winning end of this trade and it’s not particularly close 🤷🏼‍♂️ love you Kendall (today is her 39th birthday)
