You have no examples of consoles (or any platform really) that were simultaneously successful AND without exclusives. There would be no varied industry with the redundancy you're advocating for. People want games, not your fictional OS/Platform war.

Everyone on earth takes a private vote by pressing a red or blue button. If more than 50% of people press the blue button, everyone survives. If less than 50% of people press the blue button, only people who pressed the red button survive. Which button would you press? BE HONEST.

you can’t make a game that asks you to reflect on the inherent complicity the medium imposes on the player because deeply insecure people will misunderstand the message and go “but I had no choice 😞”

@Arieyus_ @OhNoItsAlexx Keep coping. The fact is PC has wayyyy more DRM 👀

The energy in the gaming space has already reignited in a BIG way. This is what competition does. Things are exciting again! It is reinvigorating the landscape. Xbox really needs to be less tentative about being a real competitor. Exclusives are the only way.

According to Tom Henderson, Haven Studios’ live-service heist shooter Fairgames is still struggling to find the “fun factor” during the latest pre-alpha playtest. -The tested gamemode was Cargo Heist, an extraction-based experience -Respawns are enabled, keeping the pace faster and less punishing than pure survival-style shooters. -Feedback from the private test was mostly negative -Many participants dropped out after just a few matches, describing the build as incomplete or simply not engaging enough. We have Concord 5

Exclusives create competition. Competition forces products to be better. Better products are good for consumers.
