Funny how things work out… Five years ago I warned that Digital ID was on the way. Back then it was brushed off as a “conspiracy theory” and Facebook banned streams where it was mentioned. Now here we are. No longer a theory but a reality in Australia, all wrapped up as “protecting kids under 16 online” come December. Meanwhile in the UK the Prime Minister has just announced you will not be able to work without a mandatory Digital ID. So what is the next “conspiracy theory”? Consider this: your government discouraging self sufficiency. Because when people grow their own vegetables, make their own cheese, preserve their own food, or create their own energy, they need the government less. Self sufficient people are harder to control. They think independently, trade locally, and build resilience in their communities. That does not fit the model of a hard left Albanese government that thrives on dependency where you rely on subsidies, handouts, and centralised systems. Albanese’s “Build Back Better” is not about helping you. It is about keeping you reliant, because reliant people are compliant people. True freedom is never found in dependency. It is found in the ability to stand on your own, support your family, and contribute to your community without needing government approval at every step. And whilst this is satire, if Albo could introduce an egg tax or a veggie growers tax, he would. Because food without barcodes is food his hard left government cannot control. It looks like the Coalition has split again with 11 members of the shadow ministry offering their resignations. It's sad that voting on principle is all it takes to blow up the opposition. I have big criticisms of Sussan Ley, but Anthony Albanese is even worse. That's why now, more than ever, we need an effective opposition to hold the Prime Minister to account.
