Our thoughts are with the Jewish community following the horrific, targeted attack on the first day of Hanukkah.

A British bill of rights does not afford us better protections. It puts us at the whim of successive Westminster governments who simply can't be trusted.

This International Human Rights Day, it's important to remember that our human rights are hard won and essential to protecting us. We can't let Westminster walk those rights back.

Poverty, lack of access to healthcare (including gender affirming care), lack of access to mental healthcare, the war on drugs. We just saved you spending time and taxpayer money on a review when you actually already have all the data you need to make an informed decision.

This World AIDS Day we celebrate our progress and look to where we need to direct support end new NEW/AIDS cases by 2030. Today we mourn those we've lost due to AIDS. With the right resources we can make sure no-one else dies to this treatable disease. #WorldAIDSDay

It's good news that the two-child benefit cap will be scrapped. All credit should go to those who have campaigned against the cap since it was introduced.

Reeves said "there would be no return to austerity", but have we really left austerity behind when council funding is still below 2010 levels? This budget is a piecemeal attempt to begin papering over the cracks in our infrastructure and services, but there is a long way to go.

On Trans Day of Remembrance we remember those we have lost, and how much further we have to go. The hate, discrimination and violence our trans and non-binary communities face today is unacceptable and we will always fight for a North where everyone is free to be themselves.
