I keep seeing post after post telling Canadians to “wake up.” But many of us are already awake. We’re paying attention. We’re worried. And a lot of us feel powerless. Yes, there are still people who need to wake the fuck up. But for those who are already aware… what’s the actual plan? What do we do beyond repeating slogans? I sign petitions. I donate to organizations defending democracy and pushing back against the tyranny. I donate to people whose lives have been deeply affected by the shots. I attend protests (especially when I lived in Victoria). I have hard conversations and try to share facts with people who are brainwashed by msm. I regularly contact my local MLA’s office. And yet it still feels like it’s not enough. I’m growing tired of the endless “wake up” messaging with no clear path forward. What meaningful, collective action can we take right now? It feels like we’re waiting for a majority to become aware before taking action. But what if they never do?

Yes but we’re already risking splitting the non-liberal and NDP votes between the CPC and OneBC aren’t we? Plus there’s a lot of distance between the ongoing “wake up” mantra and forming a new political party. My intention was to see what options people would propose to come together in a more meaningful way than continuing to post the same thing over and over, but here we are 🤷🏻‍♀️

@switchblade999 Yes, I understand this about the majority of people. I’m asking what those of us who are awake can do and suggesting that people move on from the “wake up” posts.

Canada is on the verge of surpassing 100,000 assisted suicides. That number exceeds the country's entire World War II death toll. 🇨🇦 This is MAiD (Medical Assistance in Dying). Track 1 applies to those whose natural death is reasonably foreseeable. Track 2 is where it gets deeply troubling. Canada's own government website describes Track 2 to apply where a natural death is NOT reasonably foreseeable, leaving hospital bioethicists to determine whether a person has given "serious consideration" to other means of relieving their suffering. There is no clear standard. There is no defined boundary. It is, by design, a massive gray area. The United Nations has formally told Canada to stop Track 2 entirely. Mental health professionals, disability advocates, and medical groups are raising alarms about how poverty and lack of access to adequate care are shaping patients' decisions to choose death. Even doctors are saying something is inherently wrong here. Track 2 has not even been formally approved yet. The expansion it would bring is almost unimaginable. The medical system is supposed to protect the vulnerable. This is not that.

Another disturbing example of Canada’s reckless assisted suicide policy: a family member learned their mother had been euthanized only after the fact, through a call from a doctor they had never met. No notice. No conversation. No chance to say goodbye. When life-and-death decisions exclude even close family, it raises serious questions about whether so-called safeguards are protecting the vulnerable or abandoning them. westernstandard.news/news/mother-re…

✔️It happened to my sister. She signed the papers after being admitted into the hospital. Her reading glasses were at home. Her son was not informed. They called him in the early hours of the morning to tell him she has passed. When he asked about her cause of death he was told she requested MAIDs. We all know she never would have signed those papers had she known what she was signing.

Many of us are awake. I’m growing weary of the “wake up Canada” posts without any suggestions for action. Are we waiting until ALL Canadians to wake up before we take action? Because that will likely never happen. Meanwhile or rights are being eroded right before our eyes. Many of us are doing all the things (signing petitions, donating to orgs who are fighting for democracy, attending protests, contacting MP’s, etc) so what else can we do beyond posting “wake up Canada…” over and over and over again? Anybody got anything else?

Through Bill C-22, the federal government tells electronic service providers: "We're coming for Canadians' internet data, you're going to make it easy for us, and mum's the word." Bill C-22, introduced in Parliament on March 12, would enact the Supporting Authorized Access to Information Act. This legislation will establish significant federal government control over internet platforms (like Google or X), over telecommunications and internet providers (like Telus or Rogers), and over anyone else providing an electronic service in Canada. That's a long list indeed. If C-22 passes, the federal government will be empowered to order electronic service providers to develop capacity for extracting and organizing information for government or law enforcement review, to install devices that allow government and law enforcement to access information, and to retain metadata for up to one year. In addition, the government can order electronic service providers to keep requests for information secret. This legislation is about compelling electronic service providers to surrender Canadians' information to the federal government. The federal government is not coming for Canadians' internet search histories or social media activities (yet). Information later. Infrastructure now. And that's precisely what C-22 is: legislative and regulatory infrastructure designed to facilitate a vast flow of information from electronic service providers to government and law enforcement. Tell your MP that surveillance of law-abiding citizens will not be tolerated in Canada. Find your MP here: ourcommons.ca/Members/en/sea… Read the full text of C-22 here: parl.ca/DocumentViewer… Read internet and privacy expert Michael Geist's (@mgeist) analysis of C-22 here: michaelgeist.ca/2026/03/a-tale…

In less than a decade since the legalization of Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID), Canada is on track to surpass 100,000 assisted deaths. When this policy was introduced, Canadians were told it would be a last resort, reserved for those nearing the end of life, with strict safeguards in place. Families are now speaking out about cases where assessments appeared rushed, loved ones were not informed of final decisions, and safeguards did not seem to function as intended. Canada must be able to have an honest conversation about MAID, and how we support and protect vulnerable Canadians. nationalpost.com/news/families-…

Ohhhh I feel this post. I’m a Canadian and I work ½ the year for free (to cover my taxes) which pays to support immigrants, free drugs for drug addicts (I live in BC), money sent to Ukraine/India/Timbuck-fucking-too, political corruption, free sex change surgeries for mentally ill people, most recently we’ve been told we’re paying for free university education for students from India, blah blah blah… honestly, I’m jealous of the leadership you have in the US. We’re in real trouble here.

I’m DONE. 40 FUCKING YEARS of sweat. Two degrees. Busted my ass. Raised good kids. Paid every damn tax. Obeyed every law. Voted like they told me to. And for what? A system that laughs in our face. Politicians who lie straight to our cameras. Promises of “better days” that were just bait. While THEY cash checks and WE get the bill. We built this country. We carried it on our backs. We’re the suckers who still believe in “hard work pays off.” Newsflash: It doesn’t. Not anymore. Not for honest, humble, middle-class Americans. We’re not “slaves” anymore. We’re awake. We’re pissed. And we’re not shutting up. Who else is fucking DONE being exploited? Drop a 🔥 if you’re with me. This ends now.

This morning, we said goodbye to our beloved daughter, Sasha. She took her last breath in our arms, asking us to hold her tight — and then even tighter — until her heart finally stopped. Leaving her behind felt like losing a piece of ourselves. Sasha fought cancer with a courage that words cannot describe. For months, through every treatment and setback, she smiled, comforted us, and showed us what love really means. Even in the hardest times, her spirit never gave up. Despite everything, she never stopped loving. In her final days, we could see how much cancer had weakened her small body. But her spirit stayed strong. When she passed, it was peaceful, and her mind was spared the worst of the pain. Though we will never feel her warmth again or hear her laugh, her memory and legacy will always remain. Sasha taught us to love without limits, to fight with all our strength, and to find happiness in even the smallest moments. Her bravery and strength were unmatched, and her story will continue to inspire change. No child should face what she went through, and we now carry her legacy, working in her name for a better world.
