Every day, I see numerous posts about people’s pets passing away and how painful it is. I “like” each post because I feel each pet deserves it. Today it’s my turn. After 11 months our adopted rescue Cat, Pam passed today. It was the hardest decision we’ve ever had to make, but we know he’s now pain-free and running happily. He was the sweetest, kindest boy. My posts never get many views, but if you could look at the pics of our sweet guy, I’d really appreciate it.

A caregiver reached out to LC3 for help with a huge cat colony. It was a dumping ground for abandoned cats, and it became a breeding ground. The owner spent thousands of dollars for cat food each month, and buried many cats that were killed trying to cross a busy road nearby. He was overwhelmed. Our volunteers started trapping the adult cats and transferring the tiny kittens into foster for socializing and adoption. Many kittens had severe respiratory infections, parasites, and infected eyes. We even provided urgent surgery for a kitten to save its vision. LC3 TNR’d more than 84 cats and adopted out 25 cats and kittens from this site! LC3 doesn't just blindly adopt out kittens – we vett potential adopters through in-depth conversation, vet record checks, reference checks, and home visits. Our volunteers invest a lot of time, love, money, and concern for the kittens we foster, so we want to know they will have a good life after they leave our care. Last April, two sisters, Jamie and Mona were trapped and brought to their first indoor home. These babies were semi-feral and totally terrified. They had never been touched nor handled by people and relied on each other for comfort. After lots of good food, handling, hugs, soft music, and tender care from their foster parents, they became comfortable in their new environment. Their foster mom introduced them to the rest of the house, including four adult cats and two dogs. They loved following their foster parents through the house, racing to beat them into the next room. The girls also enjoyed playing in the bathroom – curling up in a sink, playing in the tub, or getting pets when a human sat on the “throne”! In December, Jamie and Mona were adopted into the perfect home! Their new parents gave them exactly what they needed – lots of love and time to become comfortable and confident. Jamie and Mona have taken over their new home and provide their parents with lots of joy and laughs! It’s hard to think what might have happened if LC3 hadn’t rescued them! Please donate today through the Give Choose link below. Your donation will help us continue to rescue kittens. Thanks! givechoose.org/nonprofits/Sav…
