NYC: Arrest Made in Viral Riotous Queens Car Meetup 22-year-old Asil Assaidi was arrested in connection with a chaotic car meetup in Middle Village, Queens over the weekend. Cops say a large group gathered near Eliot Ave & 69th St early Saturday morning, leading to a riotous scene. He’s facing charges including: -Reckless Endangerment -Rioting -Aggravated Unlicensed Operation -Criminal Mischief

“I hope they f–k you up!” screams as 18-year-old Zahir Davis walked in Handcuffs after being arrested Friday night in connection to the fatal shooting of a teen in Roy Wilkins Park during a Waterfight takeover, according to NYPD. Authorities say Davis was apprehended at JFK Airport after returning from Jamaica, where he allegedly fled following the April 16 shooting. AMNY say he returned after being urged by relatives. Police say the victim, Pierre, was shot after a water gun fight escalated into a dispute near Merrick and Baisley Boulevards around 6:15 PM. Investigators believe the incident may be gang-related. The event drew hundreds of teens and circulated online beforehand as a so-called “takeover,” with the victim reportedly listed as one of the hosts. Video shows Davis taken into custody as members of the community and victim’s family scream, with one man shouting, “you are a dead man!” Another woman, identifying herself as the victim’s cousin, yells, “I hope they f–k you up.”

The project is expected to cost roughly $30 million in taxpayer funds for construction. Plans call for five stores total, one in each borough. Getaway driver in Fatal Baby in Stroller shooting of 7-month-old - Arrested April 14 2026 BROOKLYN, NY — The alleged getaway driver in the fatal Brooklyn shooting that killed a 7-month-old baby has been arrested and charged, police said, after being taken into custody and processed through the 90th Precinct. Authorities identified the suspect as 18-year-old Matthew Rodriguez, accused of driving the moped used in the April 1 East Williamsburg shooting that left infant Kaori Patterson-Moore dead. Investigators say the gunman, riding as a passenger, opened fire into a group, striking the baby in a stroller and grazing her 2-year-old brother.
