Freedom (Tampa) High School Golf

Well…Tried to get match #1 in, but the Florida weather shut us down after a few holes. The girls were grateful to be able to break out the new bags and golf balls that @driveftf, @CallawayGolf and @acaseofthegolf1 hooked them up with! Looking forward to another great season!

I’m so grateful for guys like @CallumTarren and @acaseofthegolf1. Four of the guys from the golf team are playing at @TPCTampaBay in the morning. It will be a day they’ll never forget!

Amazing 🎁 @CallumTarren He has 16 rounds at TPC courses he would like to give away. We would like them to go to kids (and adult w them) that might be able to afford it normally. An TPC in country (tee time dependent) and must be used before Jan 1. Our foundation will pay for lunch for each person.

@acaseofthegolf1 Had my daughter’s concert last night. It’s a madhouse.

Difference between moms and dads. Our kids school is having a Christmas concert is today. They are great kids but Luke Combs and Taylor swift, they are not. Steph has to miss it and feels terrible about it. I am going….and I feel terrible about it.

@MattGinella I spend way too much time teaching my team that lining up off of the tee markers, lines you up into the woods/OB. We also play the white tees as much as possible as high school boys golfers. My guys will shoot between 39-50 from the whites - it’s fast and fun. Why change that?

Making a quick list of things in golf that make no sense to me: -Speed golf. -Playing it out of a divot in your own fairway. -Tee markers that aim you into the woods. -Public golf courses that tuck pins and speed up greens on a Friday and then send out marshalls to patrol slow play. -Double-digit handicappers who play the tips. -Speed golf. -Courses that don’t discount for punched greens. -“Scratch golfers” who think they can play on the LPGA. -Charging $900 to play Sawgrass. -Architects who grass crazy greens knowing they’ll roll at an 11+ for the general public. -Rolling greens at an 11+ for the general public. -Speed golf.

At a 3.0 GPA, only 51% of the schools can recruit you. If you can't get it done in the classroom, you won't play college football. No hype man can change that.

Happy to announce that juniors JD Ammirati and Hayden Hoffman we’re selected to the All-Conference First Team. Senior AJ Glass capped off another great year by being selected to the All-Conference Second Team. Great job, fellas!
