Developed countries don’t clog highways with endless police roadblocks and stop-and-search. These checkpoints achieve zero against insecurity in Nigeria. They’ve simply become avenues for officers to harass and extort citizens daily.

I watched a Nigerian movie over the weekend, WHEN LOVE PRAYS, out of pure FOMO. And honestly? It’s a well-produced film. The acting was solid, every character delivered, and the storytelling pulls you in. But as it got to the hospital scene towards the end, something in me paused. I had to look beyond entertainment… and question the message. The truth is, the entertainment industry has a strong power to shape culture and influence how people think. And if you’re not discerning, you’ll consume a message without even realizing it’s reshaping your convictions. In this movie, an Imam’s son falls in love with a Pastor’s daughter. They get married without their parents’ consent. Eventually, “love wins,” and both families unite. But beneath the surface, there’s a subtle message being pushed: That Christians and Muslims can unite in marriage because “we all serve the same God.” You see scenes where: – The husband prays in the parlour (Islamic prayers) – The wife is in the room speaking in tongues – The wife follows the husband to the mosque – But there’s no mention of her going to church Then comes the child… Emmanuel Abdulrahman. And you’re left asking: What exactly will that child grow up believing? Who will he serve? Or will he be taught to blend both? This is how culture shifts. Quietly. Gradually. It’s the same strategy used when certain things became normalized: – Sex scenes in movies started subtly… now nothing is hidden – Cohabitation was presented as “getting to know each other”… now it’s standard – Other ideologies were introduced through likable characters… and slowly accepted This is not random. It’s influence. And now, the same pattern is being applied to faith and marriage. Young believers are watching. Young ladies are watching. Children are watching. And the message being planted is: “It worked for them… it can work for me.” But let’s be clear: IT IS NOT NORMAL. IT IS NOT CUTE. IT IS NOT BIBLICAL. “Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers…” — 2 Corinthians 6:14 This is not hate. This is conviction. Marriage is not sustained by feelings alone. Love is powerful, yes—but it is not enough to carry a marriage that is divided at the foundation. Even Abraham understood this. When it was time for Isaac to marry, he was intentional. He refused to let him take a wife from outside the covenant. Because direction matters. “Can two walk together except they be agreed?” — Amos 3:3 You cannot be heading in opposite spiritual directions and expect alignment in marriage. So yes—appreciate the art. Celebrate the effort. But don’t blindly accept the message. Not everything that looks beautiful is truth. Jesus didn’t die, suffer, and rise again so we would compromise the very foundation of our faith. He is not just a prophet. He is the Son of God. The Word made flesh. The Lamb that was slain. The King of Kings and Lord of Lords. There are not two altars. There are not two paths. There is ONE way. “Salvation is found in no one else…” — Acts 4:12 His name is JESUS CHRIST. SELAH.

These were the same set of people who harassed my brother last year. We reported the situation and eventually got the money back but it’s sad to see these men still on that road doing the same thing! This is not about refunds it’s about human rights protection.

@dammiedammie35 x.com/i/status/20345… Dearest Nigerians and Nigerian youths. Did you know that you have a right to record a police officer?
Adebe Pius Cleverley@nicelyPIUS

YOU CAN NOW RECORD POLICE, COURT HAS MADE IT CLEAR Yesterday, the Federal High Court sitting in Warri, before Honourable Justice H. A. Nganjiwa, delivered judgment in a matter I instituted to address a very common problem many Nigerians face on the road. We have all seen it, or experienced it. You are stopped by armed men claiming to be police officers, but they have no name tags, no force numbers, and sometimes operate from unmarked vehicles. You are unsure who they are, and if you try to record what is happening, you are threatened or forced to stop. That was the issue I took to court. The Court has now settled it. ✔ You can record police officers performing their duties in public ✔ Police officers must wear name tags or carry proper identification ✔ Police cannot harass, intimidate, arrest, or seize your phone because you are recording ✔ Faceless or anonymous policing is unlawful The Court granted all the reliefs sought and awarded: ₦5,000,000 as damages ₦2,000,000 as cost of litigation This is about accountability and safety. No one should be confronted by armed officers and not know who they are. No one should be afraid to document what is happening in public. The law is now clear: 👉 You can record police officers 👉 Police officers must identify themselves MAXWELL N. UWAIFO, LLB, BL, LLM, ACIArb copied

This is a lie‼️ These are Christians who were in their house, trying to protect their homes from Islamic terrorists that were threatening to invade & kill them. Their only crime was trying to protect their family with machetes, I knew this rubbish would happen, I knew you guys would twist the story.
Zagazola@ZagazOlaMakama

The Nigerian Army Intercepted this wicked souls for attacking peace loving Hausa community at Dutse Uku in Northern Plateau. They attempted to kill people and burn down their houses before the Army rushed to the scene after hearing sporadic gunshot. The army engaged the Bandits in a heavy gun fire before they fled the scene. While two arrested. Silent killings have been giong on in some parts of Plateau state. SayNotoSenseless Killings

If I stay home and raise my own children I am a loser and not ambitious But if I hire and pay another woman to raise and take care of my children for me than I am an empowered woman If that same woman stayed home with her children she would be a loser But if she takes care of my children she is not If we both switched and raised each others children for a paycheck we would be successful ambitious girl bosses But if we do it for our own children we are losers
