The #Eagles didn’t offer Brian Daboll the OC job, nor have they yet to officially offer the job to anyone, per sources, but he was a top target, went through a formal interview process, and had support from key individuals in the organization. He told the Eagles that he was pursuing other opportunities. They continued on with their process. Doesn’t mean they won’t find a suitable replacement, but they are now two weeks removed from Kevin Patullo’s ouster.

Bears OC Declan Doyle has withdrawn his name from consideration for the Eagles’ offensive coordinator vacancy, per sources. Doyle opts to remain in Chicago, working with Ben Johnson and Caleb Williams.

LSU offensive coordinator Charlie Weis Jr. spoke to the Philadelphia Eagles about their offensive coordinator vacancy but informed the team he has chosen to remain with Lane Kiffin and the Tigers, per sources.

#Eagles interviewed Brian Daboll today for their OC vacancy, NFL sources said. Daboll is clearly a top target for team brass. There is also internal support to bring in someone who would make significant changes to the offense. Daboll has interviewed for HC jobs and at the least will have OC opportunities. There is some belief in league circles that he could be new Titans HC Robert Saleh’s OC choice. Daboll would have autonomy in Tennessee working under a defensive-minded coach. Nick Sirianni technically is leading the search, but owner Jeffrey Lurie will have obvious sway and has stated and shown before that he will get involved on key coaching hires.

The #Eagles requested an interview with #Colts OC Jim Bob Cooter for their OC job, source says. Cooter was on staff with Nick Sirianni in Philly in 2021 and this year helped guide an Indy offense that was 8th in passing and scoring while Jonathan Taylor ran for 1,585 yards.

A league source also just told me initial talks with #Eagles offensive coordinator candidates/ "their camps" have gone well, adding that the feedback has been on wanting to have questions assuaged on "complete autonomy" over the offense--similar to what Kellen Moore enjoyed when he was with Philly. Those concerns were met with responses insuring an elite candidate should not anticipate "any interference," the source said.
