The government has published no evidence to suggest that cutting disability benefits will get people back to work.
The evidence it has published so far found that these cuts would plunge hundreds of thousands of people into poverty.
I’m joining @TrussellUK in calling on the government to rethink. This is how you can help

250,000 people – including 50,000 children – will be plunged into poverty as a result of the Gov’ts proposed benefit cuts - on its own analysis I’m joining @TrussellUK in calling on the government to rethink its cruel & completely irresponsible plan. This is how you can help

Barack Obama just delivered a blistering takedown of Trump's lawlessness. Importantly, Obama also offered Dems a way to argue that Trump's dictatorial abuses of power and his imminent wreckage of the economy are the same story.

“the Labour government has done some good things since coming into office - its flagship workers’ rights legislation is a wonderful example - but on the issue of welfare cuts it has completely lost its way. It’s proposals are cruel, irresponsible and on its own impact assessment will plunge hundreds of thousands in to poverty and hardship - including tens of thousands of children”
