Freya Official Space Episode 3 Summary (Rosen Tavern Nights EP.3) 1. Rosenica Is Evolving into Rosenica Universe In the past, Rosenica was an IP studio, or in other words, an IP holding company. But now, Rosenica is evolving into a much broader system - Rosenica Universe. This Universe will include: a. Globally influential IPs, such as One Piece, Dragon Ball, and others b. The “Holding Cards On-Chain Has No Real Use” Problem Natsuki mentioned that one major issue with on-chain TCG cards today is this: After pulling cards, people usually only have three options: a. Keep a small portion for collecting The core reason is that cards held on-chain do not really have much practical use right now. This leads to several problems: a. Weak incentive to hold cards on-chain b. Low liquidity c. Low market activity d. Large price gaps for the same card across different platforms They even observed that the exact same card can have very different prices on eBay and on certain RWA platforms. The fundamental reason is simple: There are still very few people who are actively paying attention to the on-chain TCG card market. So what One Arena wants to do is give users more reasons to keep their cards on-chain, such as: a. Using them to compete in matches b. Using them to win rewards c. Using them for social interaction In other words, they want to turn on-chain card holding from static collecting into dynamic usage. 3. Gameplay: Easy to Learn, But with a High Skill Ceiling Based on what has been shared so far, One Arena’s gameplay includes: a. Basic gameplay Players build a 10-card deck Battle in 1v1 matches Each match lasts around 5 minutes Fast-paced and beginner-friendly b. Low learning curve Natsuki emphasized that even if a player has never played TCGs before, or does not really play games at all, they can still learn the basics in 3 to 5 minutes. c. High ceiling Although it is easy to get started, this is not a game where the more expensive deck automatically wins. If you are truly skilled, you can still beat an opponent with a more expensive deck. And that is one of the core joys of TCGs: It is not simply about who owns the most expensive cards - it is about who plays better. 4. Rules System: The Launch Version Will Use Their Own Rules So Different IP Cards Can Battle Each Other One key question is whether One Arena will use: a. The official original rules of major IPs, such as the One Piece TCG b. A completely original ruleset designed by themselves Natsuki did not fully reveal the answer, but he did share one very important point: The launch version will use their own rules system first. The reason is straightforward: If they want cards from different IPs to battle each other on one platform - such as: a. One Piece b. Pokemon c. Dragon Ball d. Rosenica e. Freya then they need a unified framework and gameplay logic first. So in the initial version, One Arena will launch with its own ruleset in order to support real multi-IP competition on the same battlefield. As for more specific rule details, those are still being kept confidential for now. 5. Do Players Have to Buy Cards First Before They Can Play? This was a very practical question raised during the session. The answer was: not necessarily, but you do need usable cards. Natsuki explained that if a player wants to enter the game, they need to have their RWA cards “framed.” Here, “framed” can roughly be understood as: Registering the RWA card you own into the game system officially. This process will involve a small fee. But if you do not want to pay that registration fee, there is another option: Use One Arena’s own gacha directly. If your cards come from One Arena’s own gacha system, then those cards can: a. Be used in the game immediately b. Also receive additional battle bonuses So from a competitive perspective: If you are serious about playing and competing, it may make more sense to save your budget for their own gacha instead. 4. One Arena’s Relationship with Other Gacha Platforms: Not Competition, but Amplification The host also asked: since there are already other gacha platforms on the market, what exactly makes One Arena and Freya different?
