#FromOneLine 418 #prompt I cannot read poetry with hiccups, they ambush lines like rogue commas, a sharp seizure in the stanza, turning “eternal” to “etern....hic....al.” Yet chaos blooms a wilder music, each hiccup a barefoot drumbeat, the poem sheds its perfect rooms, and twirls where silence dares retreat. Ode to a rose? More like ode to a jolt, petals trembling on the verge of flight. I close the book, surrender to the revolt, my heart now sings in hiccupped delight.
