@depreshpod @johnmoe I’d love to hear a conversation with @boburnham. His Netflix special INSIDE said a lot about covid trauma. I’ve watched on repeat for weeks because it hurts to watch. I’d love to hear from him on how he’s doing.

I find myself talking to that voice and telling it to shut up when it crops up with those intrusions, but it’s always there and sometimes I’m not sure if I’m fully in control. But I’ll do something small like drop something and it’ll pop in to call me names. Any thoughts?

@depreshpod @johnmoe I’ve wondered what you perceive as “intrusive thoughts”. I’ve heard you mention this concept a number of times and it stuck with. I often find myself questioning which of those little voices are actually mine. Or if they’re both the real me.

@JarrettHill After bingeing all of @depreshpod I realized it’s time to go get diagnosed for some of the other things I suspect I may be dealing with. It’s validating to put a name to it, but terrifying to know it’s going to be with you forever and wondering who I’ll be underneath the meds.

@FrontPorchJosh some days are minute-by-minute, josh. on the hard ones, i *try* to find something to do that’s for me, to show myself some compassion, maybe love. pray, meditate, rest, read, binge on socials/tv… give yourself the space and, however you can, get some care. love you.

I really needed @depreshpod @johnmoe I just got all caught up on episodes and I already joined the FB group. Thanks for this. It is helping. It makes me want to be better. But I think we need to talk about societal trauma. The country needs couples therapy. I still feel hopeless.

@JarrettHill Hey thanks for reading my email on this week’s show. I know it sounds silly but just hearing you say that I’m not alone helped. I’ve listened to it a few times over just to hear you say that. I get stuck in these places that seem impossible to climb from, but we choose joy.
