Two Romanian U18 players have achieved Grandmaster norms under the “Chess Nest” program, supported by the Romanian Chess Federation and the Dragic Foundation. IM Filip Magold 🇷🇴 IM Felix Ilinca 🇷🇴 The program supports young talents with up to €100,000 over four years. ♟️

♟️ Great performance by Felix Ilinca at the Budapest Spring Chess Festival! At just 15 years old, Felix Ilinca finished 6th in Group A (2200+ Elo) with 6.5/9 and an impressive 2647 performance rating, earning his second Grandmaster norm. A big step closer to the GM title!

Romanian players shine at the @PragueChess ♟️🏆 Vladimir-Alexandru Cnejev finished 3rd with 7.5/9, winning the last round against GM Marcin Krzyzanowski. Irina Bulmaga placed 9th overall and 1st in the women’s ranking with 7/9. Congratulations to all! ♟️
