Rewatching my past VTuber agency audition videos and realizing I accidentally spent part of them discrediting my own work and effort as a creator. There’s definitely a difference between being humble and selling yourself short, and I definitely need to get out of the habit of doing the latter. 🥲 When I really think about it, I do a lot on my own as a creator. Of course, I occasionally need help from my manager and friends (and I’m grateful for them) but I work hard to stay on top of everything. If something becomes more than I can realistically handle then I’d rather pause it, rework it, and come back stronger than let it suffer or move on to other projects and ideas. A lot of what I bring to VTubing goes beyond just hitting “Go Live.” I spend a lot of time building communities, organizing projects and events and creating spaces for others to connect. I also bring over nine years of experience from leadership, official roles, and nonprofit work…all experience that has shaped how I approach community building, networking and other things I do as a VTuber. I really need to stop overlooking that when talking about what I bring to the table. ✨

⚠️Late Night Sad Thoughts⚠️ It kinda sucks that I don't have many people that share my more niche interests. I show people stuff and they don't like it or I find out in later conversation they didn't. Feels bad and I get embarrassed over it. I've debated not doing so anymore.

Raid because you want to introduce your community to someone new. Raid because you might meet someone new yourself. Raid because you want to support another creator…whether they’re bigger, smaller, or around the same size. No one owes you a follow, a shoutout, long-term attention or even a friendship because you raided them. That shouldn’t be the expectation. If you choose to raid, do it because you genuinely want to support someone. If something comes from it, that’s a wonderful bonus but it’s not the reason to do it in the first place.
