@judycogan @FryingPanTours I moved to Dubai in 1998 for over 20 years. Those early days were amazing. I also loved the idea of the cultural breakfast at SMCCU in Bastakyia. So many fabulous things to do. I remember when this tour started. Great idea.

I lived in Dubai from 2014-17 and while it is bananas, the best part was the people I met from all over the world. And the food. Not everything is smothered in gold leaf. The Dubai eps of Somebody Feed Phil on Netflix sums this up so nicely. Arva’s @FryingPanTours is a must-do.

Dubai is the new food capital of the world and I'll fight anyone who thinks otherwise. This place does the best Chapli Kebabs I've had anywhere. Darra Adam Khel style with chunks of bonemarrow stuck into the meat. Kebab Al Madina near National Paints I'll be posting more recommendations in this thread.
