Getting really bored of MAGA ranting about "freeloading" Europeans. The US does not spend a trillion dollars "on NATO." It spends it on a vast global military empire, with a mere 3.6% going toward their bases in Europe. Meanwhile us "freeloading" Europeans spend $454 billion on our own defence. The "freeloading" story is and always has been a lie to keep Americans angry and Europeans compliant.

The terms say entertainment purposes only while the sales pitch says productivity multiplier. Those two things cannot both be true at the same time, and the one that matters legally is the one buried in the terms of service that almost nobody reads before deploying it across their organization. Any company using Copilot to generate code, contracts, or customer-facing content and then publishing that output owns every consequence of doing so. Microsoft has made that very clear in writing. If the USA does not intend to honour the obligation to defend NATO because European countries dont join an offensive war of choice against Iran that we have absolutely no obligation to join, the USA membership of NATO is already worthless. The NATO oath to defend each other is unconditional. If you dont intend to honour it because you are offended about disagreements that have nothing to do with the treaty obligation that you have sworn to uphold, your are not a realiable ally. Tresties with you are worthless and your word means nothing. Unfortunately, that seems to be the case for the USA.
