11/ As 2024 ends, we’re proud of how far $FUDDY has come. From memecoin to - potentially - the currency of a global hobby space, empowering communities to play, create, and earn.

9/ Another dApp, EweTopia (working name), is nearly complete. It immortalizes players’ characters on the blockchain and enables downtime questing via smart contracts, rewarding players with assets that tie back into The Crystal Bank.

8/ The Crystal Bank won Best DeFi Project at the ICP Singapore Codefest. A huge milestone for $FUDDY! But that’s not all—we’re still building. The TTRPG is evolving, with robust smart contracts backing its economy.

1/ Ok, here’s the news. i said i’d share something big, and here it is. (Yes, i know i don’t capitalize my “i’s”—feels like decapitation. i like my “i” standing tall with its head on. But that’s a convo for another time.) Let’s dive in.

7/ As part of the game’s economy, we created The Crystal Bank, a DeFi ecosystem where players store and trade ingame resources (i.e. crystals and $FUDDY), to the point of accessing ICP's markets. This hackathon-winning project is now a core pillar of $FUDDY’s future.

6/ The answer led us to tabletop roleplaying games (TTRPGs). These games thrive on shared storytelling and community-building. Perfect for $FUDDY. Thus, The Chronicles of Auld Ewe TTRPG (still a WIP) was born—a framework where $FUDDY becomes the currency of immersive gameplay.

5/ But there was a problem: The story needed depth. What was Auld Ewe? Why talking sheep? What’s the full story? And most importantly, how does a memecoin make any of this relevant or fun within the ICP ecosystem?

4/ To answer those questions, we slowed down and reflected. Judges had highlighted $FUDDY’s storytelling strength—it was more than a meme. From day one, $FUDDY was currency for a fictional land, Auld Ewe, home to the renegade pirate sheep, the Fud Ewe Crew.

3/ Yes, $FUDDY won in the memethon, and that was cool. But instead of hyping ourselves up and riding that wave, we asked: What is $FUDDY really? What’s its core value? Why would people want to engage, invest, or play with it beyond surface-level memes?

2/ $FUDDY has been quiet lately, and here’s why: we’ve been laying down some serious foundations. What started as a fun memecoin with a quirky backstory needed real roots to bring optimal value to everyone interacting with it, especially those investing hard-earned money.
