Per ECHL transactions, the @IndyFuel acquired F Chris Grando from Jacksonville at the deadline for future considerations.
Grando returned to action last week after missing 3+ months with injury. He has 10 points in 28 games this year. He scored 21 goals for the IceMen last year

A big question is what happens with the Bridgeport market, if another AHL franchise moves in, or if a local ownership group might consider ECHL expansion (a la Worcester, Adirondack, Maine, Norfolk). Bridgeport has drawn decently this year (4500+) and has a solid arena.

This has been widely known for months, but is now becoming official in the AHL: Bridgeport moving to Hamilton after 25 years, all of which have been with the Isles affiliation (and the last 22 with Isles ownership).

The Islanders plan to relocate their AHL affiliate from Bridgeport to Hamilton next season, ending approval from the AHL board of governors. Bridgeport has been their AHL affiliate since 2001.

@dream1156185252 The ECHL trade deadline is usually fairly quiet across the league, as most of the moves are made in-between the NHL/AHL deadlines the two weeks prior. The Weiss/Zins deal was likely Indy’s big move. Many teams are supplementing by adding players finishing college seasons.

@dream1156185252 Rockford players are eligible to be assigned to Indy. Players on AHL/NHL contracts from other orgs cannot have their ECHL rights transferred to another ECHL team.
Weiss, for example, is contracted to the Chicago Wolves. His rights were transferred to Indy before the deadline.

Two new players join the roster from college. Jay Ahearn spent 3 years as a captain. Had 13 goals for UMass-Lowell this year after tallying 39 points in 36 games for Niagara last year. D Lane Brockhoff has put up good scoring numbers in college and has a bit of snarl.
