So many thanks to Erin Reed @ErinInTheMorn who shared this ABC News report into this brilliant takedown of the Cass Review. A team of researchers have determined that the Cass Review is not fit for use. A new report released by researchers from the Yale Law School, Yale School of Medicine, Oregon Health & Science University, Northwestern University and others criticizes the often-cited Cass Review on gender-affirming care for transgender youth, commissioned by the National Health Service (NHS) in the United Kingdom. @The_Big_Zeo Same! Now about 6 months out from finishing my PhD and have never been happier. It’s crazy to think how rapidly the attitude towards trans people has changed in only 8 or so years.

I started testosterone at 19 and had top surgery at 20 on the NHS. Before getting gender affirming care I was so depressed I rarely got out of pyjamas. Now I’m doing a PhD in a subject I love, without the care they are now taking away from trans young people I’d probably be dead
