Trading often gets unnecessarily complicated, and this is exactly where most new traders, who are just trying to build a model, end up losing their direction. The more layers or concepts are added without proper clarity, the more confusion is created, and in the end, it can do more harm than good. The truth is, trading does not need to be that complex. If you stay consistent with one clear strategy, manage your risk properly, and avoid overthinking, that alone is often enough. Focusing on continuations over reversals will improve your stats.
Most traders get caught trying to call every turning point. Instead, let the reversal actually form, then trade the continuation that confirms it.
Let candle 2 close, execute on candle 3.
You’ll see your stats tighten up, your market perspective get clearer, and your stress drop. Let the move come to you
