@muddewaters @Jules31415 Dude. Under Trump, unless you’re one of the billionaire oligarchs, we’re all losing money. Inflation and debt are up. The market is down and headed for a correction. Recession is just over the horizon.

@Jules31415 He ought to call his tour, "Lefties Losing Money." Because it's gonna tank.

Bruce Springsteen tries desperately to remain relevant, saying his new tour “in celebration and in defense of America” is “going to be political” and he’s prepared for “blowback.” “I do what I want to do, I say what I want to say and then people get to say what they want to say about it. Those are the rules of my game. That’s fine with me.” Do us all a favor and shut up, Bruce.

@Beautherealboy @Jules31415 Perhaps the biggest TDS indicator is when a person uses the office to enrich himself by over $1.5B and his followers cheer him on like a conquering hero. Trump’s corruption is unprecedented in American history.

@Jules31415 There are many indicators that TDS is a real and powerful phenomenon, but that it actually has the power to make people pretend to like and buy tickets to see this overrated dinosaur is at the top of the list.

@Jules31415 At his age, it must be debilitating to realize that no one gives two shits about what you say. Especially said through that stretched skin mask he’s obviously had done.

@jericho_kings @Jules31415 Trump’s made over $1.5B since Inauguration Day. This level of corruption is unprecedented in American political history. Yet cultists such as yourself cheer him on. THAT is TDS.

@BNCovRI @Jules31415 Listen to yourself. You’re making fun of his age while Trump is older, incoherent and infinitely in worse shape than Springsteen. No one’s going to be harmed by having an aging rocker speak. Not so with Trump. His diminished capacity & raging narcissism is destabilizing!

@unwiredtourist @GuntherEagleman I’ll never understand why people like you spend so much effort defending a politician. They work for us. Not the other way around. His greed and selfishness are unacceptable. How can anyone arrive at any other conclusion?

@unwiredtourist @GuntherEagleman The only person profiting from his second term is Trump himself. He spends his time looking for ways to glorify and enrich himself. His bullshit tariffs, which he said were necessary to increase manufacturing jobs has resulted in fewer such jobs.

@unwiredtourist @GuntherEagleman His second term is a DISASTER. While he’s been putting his face all over DC, his signature on dollar bills, securing gifts like 747s for his personal use after office, building ballrooms and arches, and putting his name on the Kennedy Center…inflation and debt exploded.

@unwiredtourist @GuntherEagleman Nothing in Trump’s words, actions and life experiences suggest he is anything but maniacally focused on his own self interests. It’s not “fake news”. It’s just observation of the person himself. The only time it works for the country is when the nation’s interests align with his

I get the distrust - transparency matters, and blind trusts have been common for recent presidents to avoid even the appearance of conflicts. Trump didn't follow that exact playbook, and his tax returns only came out via subpoena in 2022 after years of pushback, unlike the voluntary releases from most predecessors. On the Qatar jet: It's a government-to-government gift of a Boeing 747 (valued around $400M), accepted per federal rules for potential Air Force One use. Air Force estimates for retrofitting/security upgrades are under $400M (not a billion), with some costs overlapping what we'd spend anyway on new planes. It ends up with his library post-term, not him personally. Reasonable people can debate the optics, but it's not a personal enrichment scheme like critics frame it. That said, I agree the presidency should serve the public, not personal gain and we both hate the crushing debt (now over $38-39 trillion). Trump is one guy in a massive bureaucracy that's grown for decades with layers of insiders, waste, fraud, and self-serving laws/entitlements driving the red ink. That's exactly why DOGE existed: it was the one thing a lot of us on this administration's side really wanted to work --> to cut through the bloat, target actual fraud and inefficiency, and push real fiscal discipline instead of symbolic fights. But DOGE got fought HARD from both sides right out of the gate. Democratic AGs and unions sued nonstop, and federal judges issued injunction after injunction blocking access to payment systems, taxpayer data, and agency records (Treasury, SSA, Education, etc.). On the other side, even with GOP majorities in Congress, we only got modest rescissions passed - about $9 billion in one package for foreign aid and public broadcasting - while deeper cuts were slow-walked or rejected because lawmakers protected pet programs and district spending. Musk himself left by spring 2025 (as planned), and the centralized effort basically wound down early. It delivered some workforce reductions and contract cancellations, but nowhere near the scale needed to bend the debt curve. Our government is a self-centered, self-serving bloated entity only protecting itself in my opinion. In my view, our government has become a self-centered, self-serving bloated entity whose first priority is protecting itself. The best way for the entrenched power brokers to stay in power is to stoke division: organize "No Kings" protests, paint Trump as Dr. Evil, hype fears about Democrats "wanting the US to be a communist country" or whatever the outrage of the day is. Anything to keep us fighting each other instead of uniting against the real issue - reducing government fraud, runaway spending, and the systems that tax us more while padding their own pockets and growing the debt that burdens future generations. (dang - another too long monologue...)

@unwiredtourist @GuntherEagleman You have a different set of standards than I do. It’s been standard practice for a modern president to put their financial interests into a blind trust, so that they couldn’t influence markets for personal gain. Trump is highly motivated to use the office to enrich himself.

@unwiredtourist @GuntherEagleman You, like I, abhor debt…and yet you seem awfully forgiving of Trump. I find this perplexing as he is the debt king. DOGE was window dressing. If you don’t have the will or intellectual ability to tackle entitlements, then you’re not serious about fiscal responsibility.

@unwiredtourist @GuntherEagleman He never released his tax returns…unlike all other presidents and candidates. He is NOT transparent. His gift 747 from Qatar came with a US defense guarantee to that country…and a nearly billion price tag to taxpayers to retrofit. Distrust of Trump is earned.

@unwiredtourist @GuntherEagleman Set aside the ethics for a second. Just consider the difference in scale. Even using your numbers, Trump has made 150 times more in ONE YEAR than Biden has in his entire 50+ year career. How can you possibly think that grifting at this level is acceptable?

@unwiredtourist @GuntherEagleman Your practiced false equivalence has rendered you incapable of reason. Trump’s crypto adventures are essentially a tip jar for foreign interference. It’s selling the office to the highest bidder. Post-Presidential wealth building has zero ethical consequences.

@Rnorrisecom2022 @RealBookerScott Inflation in 2022 was entirely due to supply chain disruption from COVID. Trump’s tariffs, Iran War, and last year’s Big Beautiful Bill are creating inflation and runaway debt. Trump is the antithesis of a fiscal conservative.

I am not disputing what you are saying. But, I am retired and I struggle to pay for food, gas, electricity and natural gas and everything else. I blamed Biden and I will blame Trump but mostly Congress who i believe is responsible for most of the 38 trillion in debt because they are a corrupt criminal pedophile organization.
