In 1986, the American Medical Association published an article titled "The Physical Death of Jesus Christ". It details the entire process of Jesus' trial to His death on the cross. In Luke 22, before Jesus is arrested, it is written that He was in great distress & sweating blood. Although rare, it is recognized as Hematidrosis, a condition caused by high levels of stress. At the time, the crucifixion was considered the worst death for the worst of criminals. But this is not all Jesus faced. He endured whipping so severe that it tore the flesh from His body. He was beaten so horribly that His face was torn & His beard ripped. A crown of thorns, 2-3 inches long cut deeply into His scalp. The leather whip used to flog Him had tiny iron balls & sharp bones. The balls caused internal injuries while the sharp bones ripped open His flesh. His skeletal muscles, veins, & bowels are exposed, causing major blood loss. Most men do not survive this kind of torture. After Jesus was severely flogged, He was forced to carry His cross while people mocked & spat on Him. Crucifixion was a process meant to instill excruciating pain, creating a slow & agonizing death. Nails as long as 8 inches were driven into Jesus' wrists & feet. The Roman soldiers knew the tendons in the wrists would tear & break, forcing Jesus to use His back muscles to support Himself to breathe. Imagine the struggle, the pain, the courage...Jesus endured this reality for 3 hours! The Gospel of John writes that after Jesus' death, a Roman soldier pierced His side with a spear & blood & water came out. Scientists explain that from hypovolemic shock, the rapid heart rate causes fluid to gather in the sack around the lungs & heart. The accumulation of fluid in the membrane around the heart is called a Pericardial effusion & the lungs is called a pleural effusion. To the world, Christianity is as foolish as it can get. They believe it's for the weak. But when you are confronted by the reality of the cross, it's clearly not a pretty sight. It is brutal & horrific. This is the weight Jesus carried. The weight of the sins of the world, all so that we can live. God's wrath is fully satisfied in Jesus. This is what it took. Repent & believe! Jesus is “God among us” in the flesh. Jesus is our Savior. Jesus loves you so much that He went through this spiritual and physical punishment for your sins and mine. Jesus is the LORD, Almighty God, Everlasting Father. Thank You, Jesus.

Yesterday defenders of democracy, today's destroyers, What a shame. What an irony of history, that the acclaimed defenders of democracy and human rights who claimed to have fought for democracy during the era of General Sani Abacha now find themselves worse than the man they opposed. Today, General Sani Abacha, once presumed face of oppression, will be remembered as seemingly more democratic and more respectful of human rights than the so-called champions of activism from the NADECO days. This is a statement that is very emotionally powerful to people who chose to be obedient to you (or whatever term they use), but in reality is cho cho cho. In any case, if this is an issue now, why wasn't Abacha's lack of democratic credentials an issue when you chose to work with him as part of the Task Force on Port Decongestion starting April 1996? Speaking of 1996, Kudirat Abiola was murdered in June of 1996, nothing indicates you immediately resigned your position based on democratic principles. Let's get back to why we are here. Since you seem to have forgotten history, here are 5 ways Abacha was fundamentally worse than President Tinubu in pursuing his presidential ambition: 1) Self-succession through manufactured consensus Abacha orchestrated all five registered political parties to simultaneously adopt him as their sole presidential candidate, eliminating any pretense of competitive elections or voter choice. Maybe I haven't been paying attention, but I am positive President Tinubu has not made any attempt to be the candidate of the PDP, LP, ADC, NNPP, PRP and the other parties. He is the candidate of the APC and the APC only, rest of the parties can field any qualified Nigerian of their choice. Democratic Advantage: Bola Tinubu 2) Systematic elimination of opposition Abacha's regime imprisoned, exiled, or killed political opponents and activists, including the execution of Ken Saro-Wiwa and the Ogoni Nine, the prison murder of Gen. Shehu Musa Yar'Adua, the assassination of Kudirat Abiola, Alfred Rewane and a host of others. Of course Gen Obasanjo was in jail, so were many other 'outspoken' voices. Who has this administration imprisoned, exiled or killed for opposing Bola Tinubu. Please take your time and name a few. Democratic Advantage: Bola Tinubu 3) State terror and media suppression Abacha's government brutally cracked down on press freedom, killing journalists like Bagauda Kaltho, shutting down media houses, and using security forces to intimidate any dissent. Instead President Tinubu has brought in leading media voices into his administration , people like @SundayDareSD and @aonanuga1956 to name a few. Anybody can write anything, and instead of detention, exile or murder, they either get ignored or might actually get a response. Democratic Advantage: Bola Tinubu 4) Rigged constitutional conference Abacha convened a Constitutional Conference (1994-1995) that was heavily manipulated, with handpicked delegates who ultimately recommended he could contest as a sitting military head of state - violating basic principles of civilian-military separation and paving the way for a civilian dictatorship. What has President Tinubu done? He has used the office of the President to devolve power, LGAs now control their statutory allocations, State Police is loading and so on and so forth. Democratic Advantage: Bola Tinubu 5) Destruction of civil society Abacha's regime systematically dismantled labor unions, professional associations, and civil society groups that could organize opposition, including violently suppressing strikes and protests by groups like ASUU and the petroleum workers' unions. What has President Tinubu done? He's allowed any Union that desires to strike to do so without stressing, but because he is fair and just, ASUU which is usually a hot bed of agitation has not gone on strike a single time during his administration Democratic Advantage: Bola Tinubu I could go on and on but I'll stop here. I understand writing essays for twitter is how you communicate, and you hope to 'shame' President Tinubu into making your electoral chances easier, but that's not how politics work. If you want the presidency, work for it, instead of rewriting history as if we were all born last night.

There is a moment in Scripture that feels almost too raw to read slowly. The garden. The silence. The weight. In the garden of Gethsemane, Jesus wasn’t standing strong like a warrior before battle. He was trembling. Scripture tells us His soul was “overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death.” He fell to the ground and prayed, asking if the cup could pass from Him… yet surrendering anyway: “Not my will, but Yours be done.” This is the part we don’t always talk about enough. Before the cross… there was the crushing. Before the victory… there was the surrender. And while Jesus was pouring out His heart to the Father… His closest friends couldn’t stay awake. The loneliness. The ache. The quiet disappointment. And then… it gets even heavier. Because into that sacred, suffering space walks Judas Iscariot. Not with anger. Not with a weapon. But with a kiss. A gesture meant for love… used for betrayal. Can you imagine that moment? Jesus knew it was coming. He knew who would walk through those trees. He knew what that kiss meant. He knew the pain it would carry. And still… He didn’t run. Still… He didn’t resist. Still… He stayed. ⸻ 💛 Here’s what this means for us Jesus understands a very specific kind of pain: •Being let down by people you trusted •Being alone in a moment you needed support •Being wounded by someone who once walked closely with you He didn’t just die for our sins— He felt the depth of human heartbreak. And yet… He didn’t allow betrayal to stop His obedience. He didn’t allow loneliness to change His mission. He didn’t allow pain to rewrite His love. ⸻ 🌿 The Invitation Some of us know what it feels like to stand in our own “garden” moments. Praying through tears. Wrestling with God’s will. Feeling the sting of disappointment or betrayal. And maybe quietly wondering: “God… where are You in this?” Gethsemane answers that question gently but clearly: He is right there with you… in the surrender, in the silence, in the breaking. ⸻ ✨ Truth to Hold Onto The same Jesus who knelt in the garden… is the same Savior who walks with you now. He didn’t avoid the hard moment— and He won’t leave you in yours. ⸻ 🙏 Prayer Jesus, Thank You for staying when it would have been easier to walk away. Thank You for choosing obedience, even in overwhelming sorrow. When I find myself in my own garden moments— when I feel alone, hurt, or uncertain— help me remember that You understand. Give me strength to surrender like You did. To trust when it’s hard. To keep going when my heart feels heavy. And remind me that even in betrayal, even in silence— You are still working, still present, still faithful. Amen.

20 PRAYER POINTS TO TEAR DOWN EVIL ALTARS For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds. — 2 Corinthians 10:4 Every evil altar speaking against your life must go down TODAY. Pray with authority, fire, and unwavering faith: 1. O Lord, arise in Your power and scatter every evil altar speaking against my destiny in Jesus’ name. 2. Every satanic altar assigned to delay my progress, catch fire and be destroyed now in Jesus’ name. 3. I command every evil foundation fighting my life to crack and collapse in the name of Jesus. 4. Altars of affliction and stagnation, I pull you down by the fire of the Holy Ghost in Jesus’ name. 5. Every ancestral altar demanding sacrifice from my life, be silenced forever in Jesus’ name. 6. Fire of God, locate and consume every hidden altar assigned against me in Jesus’ name. 7. Every evil altar calling my name for evil, backfire by fire in Jesus’ name. 8. I break every covenant linking me to demonic altars in Jesus’ name in Jesus’ name. 9. Blood of Jesus, speak against every evil altar speaking against me in Jesus’ name. 10. Every altar of failure and disappointment, be uprooted completely in Jesus’ name. 11. I release the thunder of God against every stubborn altar resisting my breakthrough in Jesus’ name. 12. Altars of sickness and oppression, I command you to be destroyed now in Jesus’ name. 13. Every monitoring altar assigned to track my progress, scatter by fire in Jesus’ name. 14. I nullify every evil sacrifice made on any altar concerning my life in Jesus’ name. 15. Altars of delay, rejection, and setback—be dismantled by divine power in Jesus’ name. 16. O God of Elijah, answer by fire and consume every evil altar in my life in Jesus’ name. 17. Every altar speaking poverty into my destiny, be silenced permanently in Jesus’ name. 18. I disconnect myself from every evil altar by the power in the blood of Jesus in Jesus’ name. 19. Let the fire of the Holy Ghost purge my life from every altar contamination in Jesus’ name. 20. From today, only the altar of the Lord will speak over my life in Jesus’ name. DECLARE: Every evil altar is destroyed, and I walk in total freedom and victory! Type AMEN if you believe every evil altar is torn down today!

The Layman Apologist 🥛

If people would take the time to learn the difference between how Scripture uses a term and how you use it in your everyday experience, a lot of confusion would disappear. When Hebrews 4:15 says Jesus was tempted in every way we are, yet without sin. People read that and immediately map their own experience onto Him. Our temptations arise from a fallen nature, disordered passions, internal pulls, and a will already bent toward sin. So the assumption becomes that Jesus must have had the same inner experience as us in order to genuinely sympathise with ours or be “truly human.” He didn’t. Jesus has no fallen nature. There is no disordered appetite in Him, no internal constituency that sin could appeal to. The incarnation does not require that to be real. Impeccability isn’t a deficiency in His humanity. So what is Hebrews actually saying if it doesn’t mean temptation in the modern usage. It means Jesus faced the full external force of temptation of what it means to be a human, deprivation, suffering, betrayal, physical agony, the sustained pressure to abandon obedience to His Father and He bore all of it. That means He sympathises with your weakness, your hurt, your betrayal, your tiredness, your thirst and hunger. And He does so as your great High Priest. And before someone says He had to feel the pull toward lust, theft, or deception to truly be human, that is not what Hebrews is saying and it fundamentally misunderstands both the text and what humanity was designed to be. Disordered passions are not a feature of humanity, they are a consequence of the fall. Adam for example, before the fall was truly human without them just as Jesus, the last Adam, was truly human without them. The desire to steal, to lie, to lust. these are not marks of genuine humanity, they are the marks of fallen humanity. Ordered passions rightly directed toward God and neighbor are what humanity was made for. Jesus had those perfectly. Jesus could have appreciated the beauty of a woman (after all He made her) without that being sinful any more than appreciating a sunset is sinful. However could He have been tempted to “desire” a woman. No. His telos was never an earthly marriage. He came for His bride the church. If this helped you, please do share it.

That the Commission also received on 31st March, 2026, a letter dated 28th March, 2026 from Senator David Mark's group notifying the Commission of the schedule of ADC Congresses and National Convention as well as the revised schedule of activities earlier contained in their letter of 27th February, 2026. The request, through a letter dated 29th July, 2025, for the submission of the names of the New Principal Officers of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for upload on the Commission’s portal was received by INEC on 4th September, 2025 and it was approved by INEC on 9th September, 2025. RESOLUTON OF THE COMMISSION Given the above scenario, at the meeting of the Commission on Tuesday, 31st March, 2026, the Commission resolved as follows: To maintain the status quo ante bellum as directed by the Court of Appeal based on the facts and position of the parties existing before 2nd September 2025, when the case was filed by the plaintiff. That the Commission would, in accordance with the Order of the Court of Appeal in Appeal No. CA/ABJ/145/2026 refrain from taking any step or doing any act capable of foisting a fait accompli on the court or otherwise rendering nugatory the proceedings before the trial court, having regard to all the processes filed before the trial Court. The Commission refused to accede to the request of the Plaintiff’s Solicitors to allow Hon. Nafiu Bala Gombe to take over the affairs of ADC pending the determination of the case. The Commission shall not, given the reliefs claimed in the Originating Summons and the pending motions, receive any further communication or deal with any of the parties or groups pertaining the affairs of the party and will not monitor any Meeting, Congress or Convention convened on behalf of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) by any group until the matter is decided by the Federal High Court, Abuja so as not to do any act capable of foisting a fait accompli on the court or otherwise rendering nugatory the proceedings before the trial court. Since the names of the current National Working Committee members led by Senator David Mark were uploaded on 9th September, 2025 by INEC (7 days after the suit was instituted), the names would be removed from the INEC portal pursuant to the order of the Court of Appeal to maintain the status quo ante bellum until the matter is decided by the trial court. CONCLUSION The Commission reiterates its unwavering commitment to neutrality, impartiality and strict compliance with judicial orders. Political parties and stakeholders are urged to conduct themselves in a manner that does not jeopardise the Electoral Time Table for the 2027 General Election.
