I’ve finally given up on Upwork 😭 I’ve tweaked my profile, revamped it, added portfolios I’ve literally done everything on that app, but I still haven’t gotten a single job. Or is there something I’m still not doing right? 🥲

@Funsyjay14 You used “Formatter” to personalized it based on “First Name” yeah? How was everyone getting the same mail? And how were you able to debug the issue??

Before I made this video, I spent over an hour fighting with this automation. Everyone kept receiving the same email. It was supposed to be personalized, so why was everyone getting identical details? After an hour, I finally figured out what was wrong. If you’re learning automation, be ready to break things. You won’t get good at it if you’re afraid of doing the same thing over and over or trying different approaches. Getting the wrong results is part of the process. That’s how you learn.

This post is doing well on LinkedIn, so let me bring it here🤭 I built a Zapier automation for a plumbing company that pulls client details straight from their Notion database, generates a personalized service PDF, and emails it directly to the client, automatically. No manual document creation, no copy-pasting client details, no room for error. In this video, I walk through exactly how it works end-to-end, from the trigger in Notion, to the personalized document creation, right down to the final email landing in the client's inbox. Your feedback is welcomed, tell me what I should do better next time

When I’m done with this course, I want to lock in for 30 days. Let me actually do it this time around and see what the results will be like. I think the last time I did something like this was during my final year in school.

The past few days of joining a new organization have been an amazing experience. From the onboarding and training sessions to implementing some of the things I already knew, it’s been a great learning experience. One thing this experience has reminded me of is this: don’t wait until you get a job before learning the skills. Having a solid foundation in operations, automation, and project management made the transition much easier. Instead of everything feeling completely new, I was able to understand the workflows faster, contribute confidently, and focus on learning how the organization operates. Interestingly, my role also involves marketing, so I’ve been learning new marketing strategies and processes alongside my operations responsibilities. It’s stretched me in a good way and shown me how important it is to keep expanding your skill set. Every day, I’m adding to what I already know, and I can already see how it’s shaping me into a better operations professional. The lesson here is simple: invest in yourself before the opportunity comes. Build the foundational skills, stay curious, and keep learning. When the opportunity eventually comes, you’ll spend less time trying to catch up and more time creating value. Your existing knowledge won’t give you all the answers, but it gives you a head start. Learning never stops!
