Happy Halloween! You might already be aware that we're experts in costumes. Who else can disguise bland roofs into vibrant gardens of life.. or empty walls into rainforests of lush greenery? Let's put a green mask on your next build.

Spanning over 1000sqft and two stories, this #Biowall greets visitors near the welcome lobby desk with waterfalls of ferns and rainforest flora. But it's the sharp architectural lines above that really give this #livingwall a sense of contrast. @clarkbuilds @gensler_design

Here's a Sedum reflexum specimen on top of one of our #greenroofs in full bloom. Also called Blue Spruce Stonecrop - its leaves resemble spruce needles until these bright yellow floral display arrive in late summer. Its very hard & drought tolerant making it a fav for our winters

Here at the end of it's bloom is Phedimus spurius - or the two-row stonecrop - which is native to Asia and eastern Europe. This hardy little succulent can withstand cold winters well into the negatives but does enjoy full sun and well drained soil. #greenroof #sustainabledesign

In the same footprint, our EcoCline Solar systems collect both #stormwater and #solarenergy. We can do this by using the weight of the greenroof system as a ballast for the solar panels - providing a true win win solution for your building. Get in touch with us to learn more.

Happy Friday! Here's a progress photo of our #BioWall at @towerhillschool which greets and inspires PK-12 students in Wilmington, DE. We're thrilled to be a small part of their learning #environment which promotes a balance of academics, arts, athletics and community service.

If you ever question how much a living system can add to an interior space, our #BioWall at @underarmor removes all doubt. The vibrant and verdant wall hugs the UA logo and is contrasted by the straight lines of the rough cut timbers above. #AirQuality #employeementalhealth

The BioWall at Wheaton Town Center is truly radiant. Check out the size and luster of this Monstera leaf! We worked with @clarkbuilds and @gensler_design to construct this #livingwall which covers 1000sqft... A showpiece at the intersection of architecture and the living world.

Sometimes it's hard to tell where our #greenroofs end and nature begins. That's by design. #NatureAtWork means a seamless bridge between the constructed world and biology. It's not just aesthetically pleasing - it conveys huge #stormwatermanagement benefits too.

As we autumn deepens, you'll start to notice more color across our #greenroofs. In fact, many variety of sedum can render deep crimsons and reds making for a vibrant show of color. Our stewardship crews will soon be cleaning out decaying material to make room for new growth.

The Wilson School in DC was a monumental project spanning multiple terraces, and requiring massive cranes to move material. But the end result is a showcase in how #sustainabledesign can bridge stunning architecture with #stormwatermanagement. and #greenbuilding principles.

Ferns are one of the oldest class of plants we use in our #BioWalls - and we're always reminded of how old they are when they reproduce. These little black dots on the underside of their leaves are actually spores - because ferns existed before true seeds evolved.

Look closely and you'll see new shoots on this Takesimense Stonecrop (Phedimus takesimense). One of the novel ways succulents put out new growth is also why our Stewardship program is vital to your #greenroof health: We remove the decaying old growth to make way for the new.
